Previous thread ended here.. officialfan.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=WWE&thread=388264&page=29So here we start anew. Thread 4 started last October so it lasted a good while. Amazingly DVD discussion has been a bit slow lately despite the fact there have been plenty of recent releases. And there are plenty more still come this year. So since we have a new thread, I'll start it with some hot news! A new NWO set is being produced, and supposedly will be released THIS YEAR! www.wwedvdnews.com/wwe-nwo-new-world-order-dvd-incoming-2012/25001/We have learned that WWE are currently producing a DVD and Blu-Ray set titled: WWE – New World Order.
The set is on the schedule for release in early November, looking at the New World Order (nWo) and their reign over WCW in the late 1990′s and WWE in the early 2000′s.
This won’t be the first DVD set which WWE have produced on the group “nWo Back in Black” was released in 2002 and featured a documentary with a handful of moments and matches.
We will have more details on this set in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.Honestly, I'm not that excited for it, I also don't see the point in releasing it on Blu Ray unless they are gonna fill up all the space on the disc's with material. I mean its all SD footage, with HD talking heads footage. Thats just me though. So, now that we have a new thread, everyone can just dive right into it, and I'll just say this... "C'mon Roy... Get your hands dirty"

Recently got copies of WrestleMania XV and Survivor Series 2000 off eBay. It intrigues me that they both came with a bunch of extras, such as match hype promos, alternate commentary and exclusive interviews whereas an event such as SummerSlam 2003 came with no extras on the DVD I believe.

Since thats when the entertainment industry was pushing DVD very hard as the new standard media format for home video. On top of that Wrestlemania XV was the first WWF DVD ever released, so I'm sure they wanted to make it something special. By the mid 2000's WWE probably figured since their PPV DVD's only found a niche audience, there was no point wasting time to give people extra incentive to buy something they were already gonna buy anyway. At least thats the vibe I get from it.

At least thats the vibe I get from it. I wouldn't mind it if it didn't just seem like laziness on their part though. Mid 2003, they seemed to give up on extras entirely but then the next year they started to include interviews again or at least the pre-show match. Going back to Undertaker's latest DVD, I understand why it's coming out and I'm sure the combination of Blu Ray plus the doccumentary portion will help but to me, it kind of seems a pointless release. I have all the WrestleManias, as do quite a few people, Undertaker has had multiple DVDs dedicated to him, the matches range in quality and it was only a few years ago he had a 15-0 DVD.

I recently bought Invasion 2001 on DVD from a cool seller I met on eBay and there's like 100 10-second clips of wrestlers/refs psyching themselves up before their match and there's one with Jericho rubbing baby oil all over his body...yeah...

5.99-7.99 Shawn Michaels: My Journey DX Last Stand? Wrestlemania 27 (didn't check if 2 disc or 3) The Rise and Fall of WCW Life and Times of Mr. Perfect

I saw my Wal-Mart had one copy of a double-pack "Cena My Life and Rock Most Electrifying Man". Both were the whole three-disc sets, and it was only $10.

Last weekend, WWESHOP had a MEGA sale on a bunch of DVDs and BDs. I got (they're all BD) the new Edge disc, Clash of the Champions, Wrestlemania 27 (eh, it was 7 bucks), and Extreme Rules 2011.

Personally I'd buy an nWo set if it was done well. I thought Back In Black glossed over way too many things, and should have had 1 or 2 additional discs of matches and moments.

WWE's philosophy on making releases back in 2002 was a helluva lot different than it is now. Most releases only got 1 disc treatment back in those days. Hell, it was a big deal for Hogan to get 2 discs for 'Still Rules'!

Met an awesme seller on eBay after buying his Backlash 2002 DVD. Got some other great deals on other DVDs he was willing to sell to me.
Over the few weeks:
Judgment Day 2002 Invasion Best of Raw: Vol. 1 & 2 Judgment Day 2001 Global Warning Tour 2002
And just a few hours ago I was randomly checking eBay (not even to spend) and I found someone selling their No Way Out 2002 for $26 in like new condition. I had to jump on that!
