For a late 90s tween cartoon it was pretty funny. It was no Hey Arnold, but it damn sure wasn't Rocket Power, thank goodness... "Hey, there should be a complete box set of Rocket Power!" Said no one ever

Anyway, I loved the jokes about Carver's shoe obsession. I think it was pretty heavily implied he has some deviant tendencies.
"Why were all these women's clothes in your closet, Carver?" "Hallo...ween costume...."

Loved it. Would totally buy it on DVD if it was available.
Same applies to Lloyd in Space.

I can only think of this show as not-Recess.

I can only think of this show as not-Recess. It's the same basic character structure, but they're really nothing alike. Especially the last season of Recess when the kids become self aware and annoying.

I really enjoyed this show, Tito was my favorite, and I loved how the Pizza place was always changing.

I can only think of this show as not-Recess. Recess was about the school lives of elementary school kids The Weekenders was about what middle school kids do on the weekend.

I liked Rocket Power. You're in luck then I'm writing a reboot of the Rocket Power series which will make it dark and gritty and turn it into an urban drama of class warfare, drug use, child molesters (yes that means Tito, those Ancient Hawaiian stories are metaphors for his time in prison), and of course pollution (there will be a special episode where Otto gets pricked with a needle while surfing and has an AIDS scare during the episode.)
