Booked Bound For Glory in my TNA 2010 game. Here was the card:
Handicap Match
The Motor City Machine Guns beat the Unstable (Suicide, Hallowicked, & Jigsaw)
Over the past couple of months, Suicide, Hallowicked, and Jigsaw have formed an alliance. For whatever reason, they decided to start picking on Alex Shelly, who had been a singles competitor ever since Sabin broke his leg and was put on the shelf for 8 months. He tried to fight off the Unstable in singles matches but every time, he fell to the numbers game. Finally, he challenged the Unstable to a 2 on 3 handicap match at BFG. His partner? None other than Chris Sabin, meaning that this would the MCMG's first match as a team in almost 8 months. They did good in their return match as they were able neutralize the numbers advantage held by the Unstable with their fantastic team work and were able to put Jigsaw away with the Skull & Crossbones.
TNA Knockouts Championship
10 Women Over the Top Rope Battle Royal
Hamada last eliminated ODB to become the new Knockouts Champion.
Ever since winning the Knockouts title at Lockdown, Natalya Neidhart has been unstoppable. Challenger after challenger was defeated by Neidhart as she proclaimed herself to be the greatest Knockout in TNA history. She was so confident in her abilities that she was willing to put her belt on the line in a 10 women battle royal. Unfortunately for her, the second the bell rung, all of her competitors ganged up on her and threw her out of the ring, guaranteeing a new champ! In the end, Hamada managed to outlast everyone else and walk out of BFG with the championship.
Grudge Match
Homicide beat "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero
Having gotten tired of being a minion of World Elite, Homicide went NUTS. Claiming that the Impact Zone had "forgotten who the Notorious 187 really was" He began attacking random superstars backstage every week, culminating with him taking out World Elite leader, Eric Young. Cide wasn't sastified with taking out the male roster, however, and nearly attacked Christy Hemme during an in-ring interview. Fortunatly, the Pope wouldn't stand for this and ran in to protect Hemme. This made Pope the new target of Homicide and soon, a match was set for BFG between the two. In the end, Cide's brutal tactics were just too much for the Pope as he fell to a Gringo Killa from the Notorious 187.
TNA Global X Championship
The Brian Kendrick Experience(C) w/ Tomko beat Jay Lethal
Ever since winning the Global X championship at Slammivesary, the ego of Brian Kendrick has grown to new heights, previously thought to be unreachable. Through hook or crook, he has managed to keep the championship but nearly lost the belt to Lethal at No Surrender last month. Just when it looked like Lethal had the belt won, Tomko made an appearance and blasted Jay with a Big Boot when Kendrick had the ref distracted. Of course, this lead to Kendrick picking up the victory and sneaking away with the title again. On the following Impact, Kendrick claimed that Tomko was not his bodyguard but just simply his "business partner." Due to the screwy ending to the NS match, Lethal was granted another shot at the belt at BFG. Sadly, a rollup with a handful of tights squashed Lethal's dreams of getting the belt.
#1 Contendership to the World Tag Team Championships
4 Team Full Metal Mayhem Match
Morgan & Hernandez beat Team 3D, Petey Williams & Rocky Romero, and the Fallen Heroes (Chris Hero & Christopher Daniels)
Not much story here. Just four of the top teams in TNA fighting for the right to challenge for the tag titles at next month's PPV. Against all odds, the power of Morgan & Hernandez allowed them to secure the contract dangling high above the ring and earn the shot.
Hardcore Match
Abyss beat Scott Steiner
Back at Slammiversary, Steiner put Abyss on the shelf after brutally assaulting him with his signature lead pipe after their match. For months, Steiner bragged that he had "killed the monster". On the Impact after NS, however, the lights dimmed during a in-ring promo by Poison (the heel stable that Steiner was now apart of). When they came back, the Monster Abyss was standing in the ring. All of the members of Poison scattered out of the ring but Abyss was able to grab ahold of Steiner and nail him with a thunderous Black Hole Slam! Claiming that he had become reacquainted with his inner evil, Abyss wanted Steiner's blood. He got it in spades on this show as, after a hellacious war, Abyss caught the Big Bad Booty Daddy with a Black Hole Slam into some well placed thumbtacks to pick up the victory.
TNA World Tag Team Championship
Robert Roode & Kurt Angle beat Poison (Scott Hall and Sean Waltman)(C) to become the NEW Tag Team Champs.
For months, Jeff Jarrett, Scott Hall, Sean Waltman, Kevin Nash, and Scott Steiner (collectively known as Poison) have wrecked havoc on the TNA roster. The idea behind the group was that instead of letting Hulk Hogan lead TNA to a slow, painful death, they were going to inject a deadly poison into the company and kill it quickly. With Scott Hall and Sean Waltman holding the tag titles hostage, there wasn't much that Hogan could do to stop them. The group even managed to send the Hulkster out of TNA after they mugged him on the Impact after Hardcore Justice in August (In the actual game, Hogan retired, so I was kind of forced to write him out). Several team tried to dethrone Hall & Waltman but all of them failed. At one point, Beer Money, one of the top teams in TNA, put up the stipulation that they would put their partnership on the line in exchange for one last shot at the tag titles. Unfortunately, they were defeated and forced to disband.
Originally, this match was supposed to see Bobby Lashley and Angle teaming up since they both wanted revenge on Poison for taking them out at some point (Lashley was Poison's first victim while Angle was put on the shelf for a few months after Jeff Jarrett turned on him during a match at Lockdown and revealed himself to be the leader of Poison). Weeks before the show, tragedy struck as Lashley was involved in a bad car accident that put him on the shelf for over half a year. Stepping up to the plate, Roode offered himself up to be Angle's partner, claiming that he still had a bone to pick with Poison. As it turned out, Angle made a great decision by picking Roode as his partner as the former Beer Money member picked up the victory for his team after nailing Waltman with a Spinebuster.
Desmond Wolfe beat AJ Styles
Last month, World Elite (which is Wolfe is in) offered AJ Styles a spot in the group. All he had to do was renounce his American citizenship. Being a good ol boy, Styles refused and paid for it in the form of a World Elite attack. Later that night, Styles cost Eric Young a match against the loveable loser, Colt Cabana. This lead to Styles and WE being at odds. Young, having been taken out by Homicide, sent word to Desmond that, in Young's absence, he was the leader of WE and told the new leader to take care of the "Styles" problem. This lead to a match between Wolfe and Styles on the grandest stage of them all (Well, not really but shhhh). The match was highly competitive and looked like it could go either way. In the end, the deciding factor was Darren Burridge, who had been making a bit of a splash ever since being called up from developmental by staying unbeaten. Burridge shook the ropes when Styles went for his signature Superman Splash, causing the Phenomenal One to crash and burn. This left him easy picking for a Pendulum Lariat from Wolfe, enabling the interim WE leader to walk out with the W. It seems as if Burridge has turned his back on the fans and aligned with WE!
TNA World Heavyweight Championship
Samoa Joe(C) beat Jeff Jarrett
Ever since winning the World Title, Joe has been a fighting champion and has defended the belt in nearly every match he's had so far. Jarrett earned this shot by winning a 16 man tournament at Hardcore Justice in August (HJ became a two night event this year). In the build up to this match, Joe became a face when he stopped Poison from attacking Kurt Angle and Bobby Lashley. Joe claimed that he didn't do it for the fans or for Angle & Lashley. He did it because it was time to let Poison know that TNA was Joe's house and he would be damned if he'll let anybody tear it down! On the final episode of Impact before BFG, Jarret brutally assaulted Joe's mentor Raven as the champ was forced to look on helpless due to him being handcuffed to the ropes. This only added fire to what already looked to be a heated contest. Despite Poison being banned from ringside, Jarrett came incredibly close to winning the World Title again. In the end, however, the maniacal leader of Poison was forced to submit to the Coqina Clutch. Joe not only proved that he is the best that TNA has to offer but also stopped the World Title from falling into Poison's hands.
