Katherine Heigl shows no humour in any role she takes. She's always the downer who is either overbearing, or the career woman who causes the male love interest to abandon his love for life to settle into suburban married boredom.

Yeah, think that plank of wood GF of his f***ing that director behind his back is the best thing to happen to Pattinson's career. He's got a hell of a face run coming up. He only has a few years to be able to play that card. Ask Matt Hardy. Can we at least look forward to videos of Pattinson shooting cardboard cutouts of Stewart in his backyard?

Hayden Christensen. All the charisma of a wooden plank. He may always only have his role as Anakin Skywalker. I wasn't too crazy about Jumper (I really wish I didn't pay to see it back in 2008, but rather have seen The Bank Job, which played at the same theater at the time). He did a good job in Shattered Glass, but that was pretty much it. There was the underrated Life As A House too. Honestly, Hayden IS a good actor, I think Lucas handicapped him with mediocre screenwriting, especially in Attack of the Clones. As for over pushed, it pains me to say these names, but Kirsten Dunst and Christina Ricci, for different reasons. Dunst is, IMHO, not terrible, but got seriously overplayed, especially after Spider-Man. Now it's just mediocre after mediocre script, which is a shame. Ricci is the opposite. She does indy movies all the time, but has not had a mainstream hit in a long time and, even if there is a success, it's not exploited and she just slides back into niche fame.

I'm going to say Gerard Butler, I don't think the guy has had a decent hit since 300

Robert Pattinson has props from me for the simple fact that he as admitted to hating the Twilight Series and being creeped out by Twilight moms. He has talent though.
Shia LeBouf is losing luster quicker and quicker. To me, he will always be Louis Stevens and serious roles just don't fit him. I know a lot of people working on Indy 4 were very disappointed with how poorly the movie was received because they wanted to make another movie with Shia's character as the main protagonist.
I disagree with Ryan Reynolds. The problem I see is that he'll have a good performance, and then he'll have about 4-5 bad movies come out within a short time of each other.
I notice more with actresses that Hollywood thinks attractiveness=people paying to see actress. Megan Fox, Katherine Heigl, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, and Lindsey Lohan all went through periods were they were thrown into movies to get draws.
I guess you could add them doing that with Angelina Jolie, but her movies are entertaining (well... mostly) and she's willing to be more risky with her roles (A lot of people said Alba refusing to get nude ruined a big part of Sin City's plot)
Now there was a time when Hollywood was pushing guys like Ben Affleck and Colin Ferrell among others, but I think they've both just gotten more selective in what they do (Affleck focusing more on directing)

How about Ben Affleck? There was a point in time when he was pushed as the star of everything. A Daredevil here and a Gigli there and he's down to supporting roles and directing.

I think that "Battle: Los Angeles" pretty much puts a bow on the attempt of 'Leading Man' Aaron Eckhart

The Butterfly Effect was a failed attempt at tying to pass Ashton Kutcher off as a serous actor. So was "The Guardian" with Kevin Costner, which didn't do that well for Kutcher either. His upcoming Steve Jobs movie does have some promise, though I'm not really holding my breath. Ashton Kutcher is the Megan Fox of male actors. "HI PAY ATTENTION TO ME!" *looks at camera* "PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO ME FOR I AM SO SO PRETTY!" Blah.

I think that "Battle: Los Angeles" pretty much puts a bow on the attempt of 'Leading Man' Aaron Eckhart I think Thank You for Smoking and The Dark Knight will earn him a few passes. Hell, he even was part of a moderately decent romcom with this board's favorite choice for overrated actress, Jennifer Aniston.
