For those worried about multiplayer here is a link to a post about it from Bioware on the official forums. social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/323/index/9665384And here it is cut and pasted if you don't wanna go to the Bioware site - don't blame you. "Hi everyone, I've seen some posts where there is a bit of confusion about the ability to get the best endings by only playing single-player, because if you don't play multiplayer (or the iOS game, Infiltrator) your Galactic Readiness stays at 50%. You do NOT have to play multiplayer to get the best single-player endings. Here's a bit of clarification: Your ending(s) are determined by your "Effective Military Strength" (let's call it EMS for now) bar. Focus on that bar - that is your indicator of how well you will do in the end-game. You can maximize your EMS just by collecting War Assets in the single-player game. There is a certain threshhold of these you would need to exceed (I can't get too specific) but I can tell you there are MORE than the required amount that can be gathered in the single-player campaign. "Galactic Readiness" is a modifier you can improve by playing multiplayer. That is to say, if you play a lot of multiplayer, you will need less War Assets from single-player to fill up your EMS bar (ie it will balance out the requirements to account for you playing in both modes). Single-player game play does not impact that bar. EMS = success. EMS can be maximized via collecting war assets alone, even if your Galactic Readiness is 50%. UPDATE: changing post title, "perfect" ending may create confusion. This post indicates how military strength, war assets and galactic readiness affect the endings."

Ah, then I should be good to go, because between the "Priority" missions, I've been going to the different star clusters and gathering all the War Assets I could get. An Asari cruiser here, a Salarian STG team there, the occasional Turian or Alliance fleet. {Spoiler}I even freaking have the remainder of the Batarian fleet, and the Volus bombing fleet, plus the only Volus dreadnaught-class ship in existence.

Okay finished the game and about the ending(s) MASSIVE SPOILER. {Spoiler}I went the paragon path, but I'm kinda bummed Shepard dies. I know this was the ending of Shepard's story but I wanted the little blue children running around with Liara. Still that had to be one of the most diffcult choices to make in a game. Bravo for BioWare not going the happily ever after route.

So, is it true that the issue that the game has issues with old Mass Effect saves from the original 360 Hard Drive? Is that something fixed in the new versions of the consoles, or is it on every version? The issue is importing saves off of an HDD that isn't the HDD the save was originally made on, so say you changed HDDs, like getting a bigger sized one or you changed from an older model of 360 to a Slim 360, then you'll get a problem from the save file. I got a new 320g HDD 360 Slim back in November( MW3 version), and it transferred basically everything on my old HDD to the new one. The only problem it gave me with importing my FemShep's was that it couldn't transfer what she looked like. That didn't really matter since I used one of the default faces. All i had to do was fix the hair color, eye color, and makeup. Everything besides her facial appearance transferred over just fine.

Dear lord is the online addictive. I'm currently running 5 different characters, trying to get all of them to have at least 10+ levels before going back to the single player.

That.....was seriously the shitties set of endings I've ever seen. If it wasn't for the part with {Spoiler}TIMs final moments I'd say the whole entire end run was total shit, god.

Do you guys know the best break up ever? {Spoiler}Had a thing going on with Tali with my evil Hulk Hogan character but decided to break it off with her by having the Geth pretty much destroy her race then let her jump off a cliff.
Sure, my genocidal maniac Shepard may have no remorse but I find that scene pretty damn sad.

I've running with 4 infiltrators farming gold missions, it's single handily the easiest way to farm. No one is dying, and I mean even being knocked out. Really broken class.

Ending stuff {Spoiler}In that conversation with the Illusive Man is it possible to have enough Paragon for that last part? Felt meh about the whole ending. I don't like the video game ending where they just go, HERE ARE THE THREE ENDINGS PICK ONE basically. Starting my insanity renegade run

Yes, I did it. I had a full paragon bar and at least 5000 resources. Don't know if it mattered but I chose to destroy the collector base in ME2.
This was my point in my post. Three endings and all of them basically end Shepard. Which in a way is good. Yet I wanted old man Shepard telling this story to his grandchild.

I finished the game last night, and while I did not like it as much as 2, or even 1, I thought it was a pretty good game. That is, until the ending, which made me wish Bioware would just go back two years and start over.
Seriously Bioware, f*** you for that ending.

Finished it last night and yeah. That wasn't the ending I was expecting. But the nerd rage on the internet is amazing. What did they want, a happy ending where everyone goes to live happy lives?

I haven't finished the game yet, so this isn't yet another bitch fit post about the ending, but still...... God damn you, BioWare..... {Spoiler}I've spent my time in Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2, and hell even Mass Effect 3, trying to not doom races to certain extinct/genocide for the past sins of their race. In ME1, I didn't kill off the Rachni again, because I thought it was time to move on from the Rachni Wars, and I wanted to find a cure for the Genophage because I thought the Krogan paid enough for the Krogan Rebellions. I even wanted to save the Geth thanks to Legion showing that they weren't all like the Geth I fought in ME1, and in fact that those Geth were the minority. So what does BioWare do? They give me the middle finger of middle fingers for my efforts, forcing me to choose which race, between the Quarians and the Geth, that I wanted to doom to death. I chose the Geth, mainly because of two reasons:
1) The last mission with Legion, showing the memories of the Geth, really opened my eyes.
2) HELPING THE GETH WAS THE f***ING PARAGON OPTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And what happens? The Migrant Fleet is obliterated, Tali commits suicide, and Legion dies to bring pure sapience to the Geth. God. Damn. You. BioWare.

The ending and how bullshit it is alot of choices don't matter {Spoiler}Honestly it's not the endings being downers that's bad, it's how Dues Ex Machina f***ign everything is and how so many of your choices amount to s***. Saved or didn't save the Rachni? Doesn't matter Reapers got em. Put in work witht he ME2 cast? Barely a blip in the story for the most part. And the three choices pretty much just being changing the color of the lazer and every other decision being worthless before then is lazy incompetent writing. Goddamn not as bad as DAII because this game was good till that last 5%.

I know it's been said a lot of times here already but I can't hold it in anymore. {Spoiler} I find so many things wrong with the ending. It's not just that the choices you make made little difference, one thing I wanted to see happen more than anything are the reactions of my team mates. I kinda want to talk to them if my character survives, kind of like how it was in Mass Effect 2. I wanted to see a real aftermath, not a one minute video of something that doesn't make sense.
I wouldn't bother me as much if we got the same kind of ending in the early games. I really hope that they could fix this with a DLC.
But I gotta give those guys credit for making tearjerking moments in the middle.
