I bought Resident Evil: Code Veronica on the Dreamcast from Wal-Mart. In 2005. In 2005? Wow, I never would have thought that. I remember back in 2002, I saw Britney's Dance Beat at Wal-Mart. I wanted to get it, but at the time, I thought that I would have looked weird buying it. I also noticed copies of Dark Void and MK vs. DC at Walmart that never went anywhere. Yeah, they had a few titles left over somehow. RE: Code Veronica and Toy Commander and I think some sports ones. RE set me back $0, because when they scanned it absolutely nothing happened and we were buying groceries at the time so it was disregarded and bagged. Hell yeah. <_<

At the walmart I work at....we have like a 5 copy of DJ Hero 2 for the 360 for $50 something. Also we still have PSP and PS2, and I don't think we ever sold one in a a year or so. Hell on black friday, the wii and 360 sold out in a couple minutes while we still had PS3 on shelf for a couple hours. Also the cheap crappy games like Ruploh and Santa Claus Save...for the wii never sell either as well.

Tony Hawk: Shred is another one of those games that Walmart couldn't sell if it were free. At least here, you can ALWAYS rely on them having it on shelves.

Rock Band: AC/DC for all systems at Walmart. Even at $5.00, it seems like nobody buys them.

So many games.
Pretty much anything that goes Platinum, because my that point everyone who wants it has it.
Kingdoms of Amulra (or something): The Reckoning.
That Spyro game with the little toys that plug in. The little toys tend to fly out, but the actual game and main portal accessory just sits there.
Red Dead Undead, no one buys that when they can just download it for cheaper.
Anything to do with PS Move or Kinect. Seemingly just not popular at all

I remember seeing some Greatest Hits at Target and Walmart and wonder how they got that status. I know Platinum/Greatest Hits are games that sold a lot, but I remember seeing some that got that and wonder how. I remember seeing a Scooby-Doo game for PS2 at Target that was a shelfwarmer. I wonder how many units it sold to become a greatest hits title.

Depends on the first party and they will change their requirements for Greatest Hits Status over the years. Like during the PS2 days I think you only needed to sell 500k copies to be considered for Sony's little red GH label at the top. Even some really niche games like Xenogears and Vagrant Story got the bright green sidebar at the twilight of the PS1's life.

I went to Gamestop recently and bought "BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend." It was the limited edition, too. I think I just made its section cooler.

There's a Walmart somewhat near me that has at least 2 dozen used copies of that Burger King game in a big bin.

In InFamous 1 defense...everyone got it for free from when the ps3 was hacked so it makes sense no one is buying.

Yeah, I dunno. I guess they just bought a surplus of them from someone/somewhere? I had no clue what to make of it.

The amount of shops i've seen stacked full of copies of Tony Hawks Shred (complete with skateboard) and DJ hero (with turntable) in both the US and UK is astonishing, seems like alot of discount stores that don't even really sell games bought the excess stock (ie every copy) that wasn't selling elsewhere

Vampire Rain.
There's a Best Buy near my place that's still asking $40.00 for this abomination. I'd say it's been there for at least a year...maybe more.

For a MUCH older example, copies of Gyromite and Stack-Up were still clogging the shelves (especially the latter) even after R.O.B. was discontinued.
