Kelsey Grammer as Beast in X-Men 3. Only good thing about that movie. One of two from what I've heard. The other being the use of the "I'm the Juggernaut, bitch" line.

What about adapted from real life? Because Daniel Day Lewis as Abe might be a contender

In all honesty, when I read all those years ago that Ralph Fiennes had been cast as Voldemort, it struck me as dead perfect.

I'm so damn pleased to see J.K. Simmons getting a lot of love for his role as J. Jonah Jameson.
I've never seen someone literally BECOME the character that's he's playing as much as Simmons did. He really brought that character out of the comic panels and into life. There's been many fantastic and natural casting throughout the comic movie universe (Patrick Stewart as Xavier, Jackman as Logan, Downey Jr. as Stark, etc.), but I firmly believe Simmons was born to play Jameson.
I was very glad they decided not to bring the character back in the reboot. He's irreplaceable.

If the JJJ character is brought back in sequels to Amazing Spider-Man, reboot or no, continuity be damned, Simmons MUST be brought back.

Although not a true adaption, I thought Ewan Mcgregor as Obi Wan was spot on. One of the few bright spots in the prequels (along with the music).

There was a rumour they were going to bring him in for the reboot but they had to cut the character of the script for well time constraints.

- Chris Evans as, well, nearly every character he plays in adaptations (Human Torch, Captain America, Lucas Lee, etc.). He's just that damn good. - Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man. He did good. - Tom Hiddleston as Loki. - Oh, and of course, Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen.

The movie may have failed at certain parts and casting choices, but Jackie Earle Haley NAILED the role of Rorschach. Absolutely killed it.
