Haven't watched since the premier, but I'm intrigued. Also, in regards to the spoiler. {Spoiler}Cochran? YES! No "Puzzlemaster Murphy" no. No. No!

damn, can't really put myself in dana's shoes, but i think i would try to tough it out. suprise probst wasn't mad like the naonka purple kelly osten quittings I'm thinking because this was probably closer to a situation like Jenna/Sue/Kathy. I realize those were all drastically different situations, but it's similar in that mentally, she was already done. You could tell he felt bad for her. As for the rest of the episode, I hate to keep comparing this season to All-Stars, but that's really what this is. Start with three tribes, one of which just can't pull out a win. Eventually, said tribe is absorbed into the remaining tribes, giving us a 7 vs. 7 game. Suddenly, Kalabaw's weaknesses, which have always been right there for everyone to see, are now glaringly obvious. Really, Tandang = Chapera, Kalabaw = Mogo Mogo, and Matsing = Saboga. Hell, Kalabaw even had the first non-gameplay elimination. And to touch on Jeff Probst, watching earlier seasons compared to later ones, he's like a different person. He never used to rag on players or tribes during challenges, at least not to this extent. Also, how the hell has Abi gotten away with only playing two challenges? She would've had to play in either episode 2 or 3, wouldn't she? Hell, THAT happened in All-Stars, Sue sat out two challenges in a row! OK, I'm done, I promise.

Count me in as being an RC fan, I hope somehow she can flirt her way into an alliance with Malcom like Angie attempted before her, they can pull some Hantz Magic with Mal's immunity idol if RC's on the chopping block against Abi's venom (and hopefully they simultaneously blindside that Brazilian Bitch!) Having Abi sit out most challenges is smart, if she's the weakest physical player obvious Tandang's undefeated status means that she needs to stay on the bench rather than mess up their momentum. But I bet Lisa's sat out just as many challenges as Abi, I doubt Jeff Probst will point that out, somehow My personal Power Rankings as of now: 1 - Malcom (has an idol nobody knows about, Denise as an ally on the opposite tribe, has all the intel on who has idols and alliances within his new tribe, and is the defacto Alpha Male of the group after winning the reward challenge) 2 - Penner (similar situation as Malcom, his experience will probably make him more resilient to unforseen threats/blindsides and it's unlikely that he'd be sent home with the idol in his pocket whereas Malcom could have that happen to him while making himself a physical threat on 'Dang) 3 - Abi (seems to inexplicably wield the power behind the scenes in 'Dang to the point where it's no thang for her to sit out most challenges and verbally berate RC around camp without consequence. She has the numbers if her tribe ever goes to council her antagonistic attitude and idol threat that RC sorta-suspects-but-doesn't-know-about Abi is the most likely to get blindsided with the thing in her pocket. I hope.) 4 - Denise (says a lot that she's never won a challenge, is the newbie on a team that has already bonded to each other for 13 days prior to the re-shuffle, and yet she STILL gets welcomed into the Penner/Jeff alliance with open arms. She's definitely the strongest woman left in the game, which sucks since if Dana toughed it out for another challenge Katie's Women's Alliance would've definitely sent home one of Jeff's boys instead-- I bet Troyzan is wishing someone in Kim's alliance got medivac'd too cause that's pretty much the only way to counter the limitless power of the Female Alliance if a strong woman like Kim/Denise is in charge) 5 - Jeff (really dodged a bullet when Dana dropped out, and he also saved his ass by sending Dawson up the Creek since she was the only one savvy enough to recognize him as a pro-baller. Getting Denise to join his alliance would've probably been impossible with Dana still in the game, and even if it was Malcom joining instead of Denise that would just be another hidden immunity idol he'd have to deal with so this past episode was 3 big wins for Jeff despite him losing two tribe members back to back)

Also, how the hell has Abi gotten away with only playing two challenges? She would've had to play in either episode 2 or 3, wouldn't she? After the first episode's immunity challenge that everyone is forced to participate in, there weren't any reward challenges and so Abi (who told RC that she was feeling pretty injured on episode 2) started sitting out, and Tandang always had at least 2 more tribe members than Matsing after ep. 2 so Abi could always sit out every time afterwards. If the back-to-back challenges rule is still in effect (Probst doesn't ever say that line this season so I dunno if it is) then she'd hafta have played in episode 3's immunity challenge after sitting out from 2. She might've meant then that she only played 2 immunity challenges, not counting the reward challenge she just played in ep. 5. She was forced to participate in this reward challenge since again, the numbers were dead even (briefly) like they were in episode 1. So technically she's probably played 3 challenges total if she was in ep. 3 but someone will have to confirm that cause I can't recall...

Or watch any episodes? The first three have immunity idols, so obviously they're gonna be at the top of the power rankings. The other two are in tight alliances with the people who have idols, so it's likely they'd get to 'borrow' the idol's power in a blindside attempt. Common sense. Nothing to do with 'who has more tv time' but in my experience the editors don't waste airtime on dud contestants anyway so congrats on the self-fulfilling prophecy.

So I went back and looked at the previous challenges: Abi and Dawson both sat out the second, third and fourth episode challenges. Lisa and Katie both sat out episodes 3 and 4. No men have sat out. So clearly, they're not enforcing the rule about sitting out back to back challenges this season.
