Great. So now I have nothing to watch this Saturday. Well, except for a UFC card. Dammit Gil!

Dana loves Sonnan because he brings in money.

Dana loves Sonnan because he brings in money. There's a problem with that, though. Chael can talk all the trash he wants (he resumed his crusade against Jon Jones on Twitter recently) but all the talk in the world won't help him get title shots and PPV buys if he keeps on losing. Has somebody wondered what would happen if Forrest Griffin beats him at UFC 155? Because that can be one of the most important fights in Chael's career, being a moment that would either make him a fighter to be taken pretty seriously or being the guy who is all talk but no action.

If he loses to Griffin then he's done in my opinion. It will be a long climb back to a title shot and I don't think he's talented enough to make that climb.

Not to mention that he'd still be at LHW, which is one of the most stacked divisions. If he managed to beat Griffin, I'd love to see Sonnen fight Evans, Shogun or Machida. It be hilarious to see any three of them beat the s*** out of Sonnen.

Apparently, in an interview this week, Chris Leben revealed that he is "flat broke" after being off from the UFC for a year. Full Quote: “Yeah, I’m flat-out broke right now. Being broke sucks. It’s probably one of my biggest things where I just feel terrible. I feel terrible for having put my wife through so much and all because of the poor decisions that I’ve made. The year’s been hard. The year’s been a struggle. The only thing I can say is it’s already happened. It’s water under the bridge. The only thing I can do now is try to make sure it never happens again in the future and prepare for the future now.” Source: www.bjpenn.com/mmanews/2012/09/26/ufcs-chris-leben-im-flat-broke-ufc-news-37516.html

Dana White is up to his favorite hobby...throwing people under the bus. Matt Mitrione was offered to fill in for Mir against Daniel Cormier and turned down the fight. It kind of make sense seeing as he was outwrestled by Chieck Kongo (You can imagine how it would go with Cormier). This was, obviously, a slight against Dana White...just ask Dana. "It f***ing makes me sick," White told MMAjunkie.com on Saturday following the UFC on FUEL TV 5 post-fight news conference. "Listen, you don't want big opportunities, I hear you. I get it, then. All I can say is, I guess he doesn't want big opportunities. I get it. Duly noted. "He wants to fight a guy who weighs 205, but doesn't want to fight the guy who's the real heavyweight, the legitimate guy who's ranked. And Mitrione's not getting any younger." The 205 crack is in reference to Mitrione calling out Rampage Jackson on Twitter. Mitrione's next fight is booked already. He's scheduled to fight Phil De Fries (9-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) at UFC 155 on Dec. 29 in Las Vegas. "F---in' insane," White said (Ever the poet). "It makes no sense to me, and it's insane. I'm a little bummed out by it. We'll figure it out. Yeah, [he's already got a fight booked]. He said, 'I'll just take that one.'" So, to editorialize, Mitrione already has a fight, is probably training for it...and Dana is mad he didn't immediately jump at a chance to fight the guy from Strikeforce the UFC wants to hype up to bring in? Oh well. Source: mmajunkie.com/news/30874/ufc-boss-white-confirms-matt-mitrione-turned-down-strikeforce-fight-with-daniel-cormier.mma

Just give Werdum the Cormier fight. He already said he'd take the fight and it'd be a fitting final heavyweight matchup for Strikeforce.

Cormier is apparently calling out Pat Barry on Twitter. Aiming low, isn't he? Indeed. I think he's just wanting a safe fight (I like Barry, but Cormier wouldn't even try to go for the type of fights that Barry excels in) where he can take Barry down, hold him down, and coast through his final Strikeforce fight so he can start getting hyped for a UFC debut.

Cormier calling out Barry ? Hahahahaha. Here's something else that White can whine about. Cormier would have nothing to gain by fighting Barry.

The Ultimate Fighter suffered its worst rating in show history off the latest episode, only garnering 775,000 viewers which came out around a 0.5 rating.
Let's not forget when the Fox deal was first made, Dana threw SpikeTV under the bus and predicted TUF would increase to 3 million viewers from the typical 1.5 million on Spike.
Looks like it has gone the other way.

God, even Batista's designated "soundalike" tomato can is pulling off cards due to injury.
