The one where he rejects DiBiase's offer to sell his Championship. The crowd went insane at that point. For all the talk over the years about "belts mattering", I'd say this is one of the greatest interviews of all time when it comes to making a title seem important. That was maybe the maddest Hogan ever was. He made it seem like he was going to kill DiBiase for even suggesting such a thing.

Promos have very little to do with what you say. It's how you say it that's most important; body language, tone, volume etc.... Hogan babbled and used nonsensical language but he looked convincing and confident doing it and that's what sold him. No wrestling fan wants to hear boring lifeless ROH style promos. This is true, outrageous and colorful promos are missed in this day and age. Everyone is so serious.

I take it that you disagree, so please feel free to point out a modern promo that is as colorful and outrageous as Hogan's 80s stuff. I'm genuinely curious to hear an example.

People also tend to overlook the talent part. Hogan and Savage had talent and charisma that's why they cut such distinctive promos.

"This is where the power lies!!!!!" while pointing to the palm of his left hand.
Promo for a match against Hercules in the mid 80s and he does that weird pose at the end where he shakes like a wind-up toy with a mad grin on his face.

Why bother coming into this thread when it's about appreciating Hogan promos? We obviously like and miss the days of the awesomely over-the-top promos that Hulk used to do. I'd take the most insane Hogan SNME promo over a snarky "pipebomb" any day of the week.

I still love Hogan's promos to this day. His voice when he is in full babyface promo mode is just hypnotising.

There was an interview he cut with Vince McMahon on All-American Wrestling prior to his WM8 match against Sid where he was pretty subdued and down to earth, but still very believable as someone who wasn't sure if he was ready to truly walk away from the business. For those who think Hogan is just a neverending string of brothers, seek it out.

His 2002 promo, I hear it was Montreal or some shit - but his first promo back in WWE after No Way Out, was really, really good.

For those who think Hogan is just a neverending string of brothers, seek it out. He cut a similar promo against Ric Flair a few months before that one that was astonishly good.

"The right gay- GUY, in the right place, at the right time..." Maybe one of, if not of the worst promo ever. It's a must see!

"The right gay- GUY, in the right place, at the right time..." Maybe one of, if not of the worst promo ever. It's a must see! Just for the record, I grew up a Hulkamaniac and I still respect the hell out of the guy (even though I don't watch TNA) and his promos were always the highlight of the shows I watched back in the day, but that slip-up - that whole promo - had me in stitches.

Any of his promos against The Rock in the lead up to WM18. His promos at WM3,5,6,7,8. The nWo heel turn.
Hell any of his promos. Hogan was an underrated promo man, and better than CM Punk could ever hope to be.
