I now must figure out how to catch DW S7...
Thing I'm most looking forward to is Ben Browder guest starring in the Western episode.

Biphobia? I didn't notice that one. The rest, sure, but not that one...... Talking about a same-sex crush but taking care to mention that "It was a phase.". Instantly writing it out and treating it as a joke to distract Rory. Same as Moffat's done with every mention of bisexuality since he started Coupling in 2000.

whilst it had its issues I enjoyed it. That said I feel they tried to cram far too many things into one episode not giving thema chance to be developed eg: the Zombie daleks could have carried a whole episode rather than being used for a quick scare and then abandoned x

I think I might be in love with Jenna-Louise Coleman. That said, I adored this episode, as it had all the bombast and intimacy of the best new Whos. It also illustrated one of the bigger themes of the series, as a whole: just why The Doctor needs companions; and also his messiah complex about needing to be able to save everyone. My (admittedly-long) analysis to any interested parties: www.rickey.org/doctor-who-season-premiere-recap-and-review-asylum-of-the-daleks/

With time travel and weird hidden grops that always pop up it would not be hard to undo the mind wipe.

Just aired it in Canada dn I really enjoyed it. I will fully admit that id id not see that twist coming. As for Amy, I thought she was fine this episode. No major issues.

Are they TRYING to make Amy the most unlikeable companion, or is that happening by accident?

Haven't watched in a while, I found this episode...very hard to get into/take seriously until perhaps the last fifteen minutes. I think this series is going to be a real grower. I felt the same way about the episode. It felt like a switch was flipped with 15 minutes left and it actually picked up. Also, it was announced almost six months ago that Jenna-Louise Coleman was the new companion, so I think we can stop the speculation about that. Finally, the next episode has two Harry Potter actors in it, so I'm pumped about that.

Loved the ending... {Spoiler}The Daleks don't know who the Doctor is?
Awesome.
And the term Doctor Who finally makes sense.

Things people have been saying about Amy, I felt about souffle girl. Ridiculously confident in the face of a serious situation. The entire story revolves around her and how amazing she is.
Threadkiller said it in his analysis: she's almost too perfect. Yeah, turns out she's a Dalek, but when she becomes the new companion at Christmas time (and presumably not a Dalek), I hope the character isn't quite so...flawless.

I am going to take a stab that the Daleks not remembering the Doctor is going to come back later as massively important to the story. Spoiler for reasoning! {Spoiler}After all they were asking the question that must not be asked Things people have been saying about Amy, I felt about souffle girl. Well the reason she was able to do all the things that she did in this episode was because she was a Dalek.... so I would think that would be the case.

It hurts me to hear people talk bad about Amy.
I'm very protective of tall attractive redheads.

It hurts me to hear people talk bad about Amy. I'm very protective of tall attractive redheads. I just...can't stand Amy. Or River Song, for that matter. Both of them are written as perfect, including being better than the Doctor at things that the Doctor does CONSTANTLY(Flying the TARDIS, for a River example), and are just....annoyingly written. Rory, on the other hand, now there's a cool guy. I'd love to see just him as a companion.

And the term Doctor Who finally makes sense. well to be fair the whole last season was based around the question of doctor who? and Id imagine this simply ties into it. I also predict the christmas episode is going to involve the doctor crossing his own timeline to meet dalek girl before shes dalek girl and prevent it from happening as some sort of christmas miracle/present. oh and I love Amy and Rory, but the model bit at the opening of the episode was stupid x

I thought it was pretty good. I do like what they've done as a result of that ending. It didn't exactly wow me, but that's okay. I'm interested enough to see where it goes from here.

With Walder Frey playing a Collector rip off.
Should be good.

With time travel and weird hidden grops that always pop up it would not be hard to undo the mind wipe. Thought came to me this morning of how they could get around it. Back in Victory one of the Daleks created from the Progenitor was the Eternal. We still have no idea what the Eternal Dalek does or what its purpose is but maybe one of its functions is that it has a memory unaffected by the hive mind. That way its memories can't be altered and remain eternal?
