Don't forget how 2008 had that option to surrender the title just before Mania that 90% of the time forced you to do it even if you chose not to. Also 2008's GM Mode was by far the easiest of them because in no time you could build up the entire roster to max popularity on off-days. Though at least while ECW was still the best way to win due to having the last PPV, it wasn't as much of a guaranteed thing as with SmackDown in the other two games. You think that's bad? Try playing that on the DS. You get a title shot in your first month, then you lose it immediately. After that, you spend eternity in the mid-card on the other show. As for the history of the SmackDown games, I'll look at them myself: SmackDown!: Pretty unfinished game. Several elements clearly aren't completed. Really strange to see Big Show as WWF Champion, because when this game finally got released, he was almost down the OVW. Know Your Role: A lot better, but basically, it was what the first game would've looked like had it been completed. Benefited heavily with the WWF's 2000 roster, which was stacked. Just Bring It: Clearly rushed. Influx of details, such as the InVasion, are virtually ignored, and the "season mode", if you can call it that, is horrendous. Shut Your Mouth: A lot more polished. Season Mode is interesting, if not very, very long. Here Comes the Pain: A lot of people love this game, and so do I. Roster's very good, and the story mode is also good, even if it does copy-and-paste a lot of details. SmackDown! vs. RAW: Suffers from a very weak roster, and also a really bad story mode. Doesn't help that the VAs sound like they were recorded poorly and the text that your wrestler says can make no sense if you're using guys like Triple H (who refers to Orton as "old and washed up") or Kane & Undertaker (well... I think you all know). 2006: Getting there with story mode, but SmackDown!'s story is more constructed, because there are two alternate endings (an existing wrestler gets you an ECW invasion, while the CAW has a swerve ending). RAW just follows the same one, no matter the situation. Roster isn't as good. 2007: Story mode is really interesting, but it goes on forever (though there are moments that will end it if you lose). Roster's good, and the legends list is interesting, though I have to say that they should've tried and given Bam Bam Bigelow music. However, it was revealed that several details were unfinished as far as moves go. 2008: This is the advent of experimentation. Instead of giving people the chance to build complex movesets, wrestlers are preset into specific categories, which negate what they can go in real-life. Also, season mode is replaced with that stupid "24/7" mode. 2009: Roster's alright, and we got story mode back. However, it's six pre-set "Road the WrestleMania" stories that aren't really that interesting, given the fact that you basically have to win every time to continue. 2010: Weak roster, and horrendous RtWM mode. 2011: Introduced "Universe" mode, which I'm not a fan of because I want to make random matches and not have them be part of an existing show. WWE '12: Again, serious experimentation. Story modes are really lame.

I think it goes without saying that Kane and D-Bry will have the Golden Girls theme as their tag entrance music. They will reign forever.

I will definitely play on Live with FANners but I refuse to play with the general public so we should get some games going in anticipation for '13. I try almost every year to get a last day online blowout for the previous game started right before the new one comes out so we should try to do that this year.

Yeah, I rarely play online because of the real shithole players that just spam moves.
Provided the servers actually work this time around, I'll be glad to play some 13 with fair players.

I wouldn't mind having a game with people from here. Never done any online with WWE '13, bar uploading a few wrestlers/arenas. Would be neat if we could arrange this!

I'd be cool with losing to having competitive matches with people from here!

Remember when they did the "Inside the Ring" stuff for past games? Why aren't they doing that now?

Alright, since we've got some interest in grouping up for play, I'm S1mplyMantastic on Live. Just add me, tell me who you are, and we'll get some games going.
Who does everyone like to use? I mostly stick to Ziggler, Punk, Bryan, Rhodes, and Barrett.

Not true, the ending depends on what happens during the story. I got the ECW invasion the first time through as a CAW.

my 360 tag is TheSeaybird; like stated above f.a.n name for identification. And I usually like to use a well balanced original CAW. Outside of that, I really like just random choice, keeps the game fresh for me.

I'm hanging out with exactly nothing to do at home if anyone wants to hit some WWE '12.

Well, the reason why I said that was that I had used Kurt Angle and got the ECW invasion, and then I used a CAW and got that "he ran over Teddy Long" angle. After that, my disc stopped working. I guess it may have to do with you either working the Legends Tour (with undead Davey Boy Smith) or feuding with an Eddie Guerrero-controlled Undertaker.

Smacktalks, the true source for WWE 13 info tbh. Can't wait for this game. Provided they don't screw this up, it's looking like my dream game. I wonder if there's a glitch in the game where it's impossible to defeat Cena in an "I Quit" match.
