Hey guys, sorry for getting this up so late. RL was a bit of a pain in that literally every time I wanted to sit down to write I was getting called away to go somewhere. Needless to say I know it's certainly not the best but I thought getting it in was important and with trying to make the matches a bit shorter it's going to take a bit of getting used to. I hope to try and get things working a bit better in the future.

There are two matches left to be claimed.
* * *
I had a flash of creativity earlier today (the wonders of monotonous TIG welding). Tell me what you all think of them. Pure musing at this point.
1) New members can test drive FAWA participation by claiming an FAWA jobber (hereafter rebranded as "Free Agents" or something). That "jobber" is now treated as any actual member i.e. they don't automatically lose matches. As long as that new member lays claim to that "Free Agent," no one can use that character as a jobber. The new member can permanently use that former jobber as they character if they so choose - why stop them if they like the character? They are also free to make a character of their own, after which the character returns to the "Free Agent" Roster.
2) Something something "Legends Roster..." That's about as far as that thought has gotten for months now. Similar to the above, but almost in reverse. If a member retires, they can allow their character to be a "Free Agent" but I feel like giving them a different distinction in that they don't essentially recede into jobbers. It's not a complete idea, but now I've finally shared it.

Excellent. Remember: Niteraw is 1 hour long. Repeat that to yourself as you write the match.

So... Thoughts on the "Free Agent" and "Legends" ideas?

I think it's an interesting concept. I think though we would have to make sure to have the distinction between Legends and Free Agents of course but otherwise it could be an interesting way to get folks to try things out if they wanted.

I think the "Free Agent" idea is much easier to do and get off the ground at the very least. The main problem of the "Legends" part is that I only have a nebulous concept behind it. I envision something along the lines of wrestling legends being dug up out of the mothballs to face new talent and help get them over. They're clearly an active participant, but they are also clearly not there as weekly talent. The Rock is a current example of this. Mick Foley, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan are all other examples of what I'm going for. It allows members to leave but still be able to leave a legacy of sorts.
Also, results have been sent out; now let's get to it!

I'd like to add that in the midst of a overpopulation crisis in the 101 Colony, I have been named the liaison between here and there. This could help wit our problem with losing people here while helping them reduce the roster there. So here goes....
