Why can't Debra & LaGuerta die already? I wanted them dead since the first season Anyway, I think Dexters final confrontation for this season will be with the serial arsonist I actually think that the arsonist will last into next season and this season will end with LaGuerta and Matthews trailing Dexter and coming to his rescue when he has a stroke because Hannah poisoned him.

I watched some old episodes today, can someone explain these things to me :
- The women who was kidnapped by the Doomsday killer said she was kidnapped by 2 guys - an old guy and a young guy & she heard them talking - then we discovered that Gellar is dead! - If Viktor Baskov was gay what was he doing with a stripper ?? - Why did Louis draw stuff on the hand from the Ice truck killer case ??

I think Louis was going to be an adversary for Dexter, a demented stalker. But the latest Dexter book dealt with a similar theme so perhaps they changed ideas to avoid doing something so similar.

It's Season 6, I enjoyed it but by god it had some STUPID writing and that's all it was (At least it's not Boring like Season 7) - Why did Louis draw stuff on the hand from the Ice truck killer case ?? Dunno, Still waiting for that one myself

That may sound stupid, but he was pretty convinced himself and talented voice actors can sound very different at different times. Did you know that this guy and this guy and the big guy who shows up at the 0:32 mark in this video are all voiced by the following guy (as is Scooby Doo, Soundwave, and literally hundreds of other characters): 2) I would swear that somewhere it had been mentioned that Victor was bi, but even if he was not it was established that Isaak occasionally had a woman play the part of girlfriend to hide his secret, so it is not outrageous to think that Victor would not do the same. 3) I don't know, but it might come up later as his disappearance might be investigated.

Hannahs father is dead, George Novikov is dead & The Phantom is in prison. Thats mean all the bad guys are gone. Possibly to set up Dexter as the villain of the final season. This season had been vastly better than the last two seasons in my opinion. - I'm glad they had the balls to jettison plot threads and characters from last season (e.g. Lewis) on screen instead of suddenly forgetting about them (Fuentes Bros, Deb investigating Laura Moser, the Nanny from S5, etc). - I like Isaac Sirko as a villain because he's not another trip to the Ice Truck Killer/Trinity Killer well (Doomsday Killer was the show trying too hard to do just that). He's the most believable major villain in the show (Miguel Prado probably takes second place) and he has a practical element to him that's refreshing from the mind game fare. - Laguerta actually plays a meaningful role for once; Batista seems to be heading for a satisfying conclusion as a character. Quinn... Um... ...well, he's still Quinn - always on the fringe of the main plot, yet almost entirely irrelevant. Quinn... - I like that this season doesn't just acknowledge its continuity, it's making use of it. - Season 5 is one giant epilogue to Season 4 and has next to no relevance to anything. Season 6 was a giant delivery vehicle for its final scene . Ultimately, S7 feels like the show has direction and is going somewhere. I wonder if S7 and S8 will basically be companion seasons. So, in conclusion, I don't see what is bad about this season that would be any better in a good season of Dexter. I think it's an overall return to form for a show I wad ready to give up on after last year and I hope this current momentum is retained into next season so it ends on a relatively good note.

Was I the only one who caught him saying he was sending Dexter a message by tracing out the life-line?

I've really enjoyed this season of Dexter actually, its been the best its been for me since season 4. I just think they should have held off on killing Isaac, one of the show's best ever characters.
Dexter for me has always been at its best when its just focusing on, well, Dexter. I've never cared for all the Deb, LaGeurta, Quinn, Batista, Rita ect. subplots.

I definitely think they're setting up Dexter to be the villain. Having him gradually lose his moral compass this year by protecting Hannah, a killer who kills innocents for convenience or pleasure, by abandoning the code, by determining that he simply likes to kill and it's not an irresistible compulsion at all... they've sliced out, one by one, the things that made it possible for the audience to root for him. MCH is even playing him differently now, much less sympathetically. And with Deb finally drawing her lines about what she will and won't do for him, I think we're heading toward a sibling showdown... classic good vs evil, order vs chaos stuff.

I could have sworn that the British chick was the one that coined the phrase "Dark Passenger." Am I wrong?

Great episode this week.
Debra is a real "B" so I wouldn't put setting Hannah up past her.
Anyway Hannah is going to jail & she knows Dexter's secret, so she could make a deal with LaGuerta or something

I still think Deb's too much of a straight arrow to set Hannah up... she had a witness who she was feeling good about (even if Hannah protested to Dex that that woman wouldn't have been useful, Deb clearly felt she was), she was on the way to that witness' house, and there was no reason yet to take drastic measures like risking her own life or the life of anyone she could potentially crash into. If we'd seen her failing to get Arlene's cooperation, I could see the story leading into something like this, but right now... yeah. I don't buy it, and it'll feel annoyingly soapy if they go there.
But this was a fantastic episode, man. So much tension.

Solid season overall. Don't screw this up with season 8, cast and crew. Make two good seasons in a row just this once. It was nice to see Doakes back even if only in flashback. I consider it a birthday present. And the show even managed what I thought impossible: it made me care about Laguerta!
