They'll just move Hayes to that role and nothing will change.

I guess with Ranjin we'll see more mutton chops based storylines. New WWE Champion?

This still could be a Gerwirtz written episode though, couldn't it? Assuming he just got released moments ago.

I hear Cornette might be looking for a new job. lol I know you're joking...But No, no, no, no, no, no, NO! Please God no. I don't want to go back to 1985 any longer. This guy would have been one of the greatest creative minds in the business if that mind had just evolved with the times..

Now they need to remove Kevin Dunn
Or just let him handle the pyro and let someone with new ideas produce the shows.

Now he's just a whiny c*** with no ideas.

That's what I was thinking as well, that tonight's episode has been written and finalized much before he was fired, and things will go on tonight as planned. If there are going to be any noticeable changes, I would guess it wouldn't be until next week that we see them.

THE COMPLETE BREAKDOWN OF WHERE THINGS STAND WITH WWE CREATIVE, GEWIRTZ UPDATE by Mike Johnson @ 7:47 PM on 10/8/2012
The official word on Bryan Gewirtz's position with the company is that he will remain a "consultant" for the company. One source believed that contractually, they cannot let him go without paying him a penalty so he will remain in a position where he provides feedback to the company on their product. Replacing Gerwitz will be Eric Pankowski, who was hired by the company in February as Senior Vice President, Creative and Development. Pankowski was a senior executive at Reveille and Warner Bros and has been working directly with Stephanie McMahon in recent months.
In another move that had talent talking, Ed Koskey is going to be taken off the road and will be working more out of WWE Headquarters. That had quite a few pieces of talent we've heard from in the last hour upset as Koskey was well liked and considered someone they could relate to and deal with while pushing their own ideas. Koskey being taken off the road was described to me as "collateral damage" from Gerwitz being removed as the two worked closely together.

Having never worked in the wrestling world I have no credibility to say this, but maybe they shouldn't replace him, and give the wrestlers a bit more freedom.
The likes of Zack Ryder, Dolph Ziggler, Derrick Bateman, Trent Baretta and (going back a couple of years) Miz + Morrison have created more memorable scenes in things written + performed by themselves than handed to them by writers.

Cranky Vince is probably sounding like the real guy right now. I'm convinced it's a transcript of exactly what's going on backstage at the moment.

But the thing is, Gerwitz wasn't the only writer. It has been WWE mandate since Stephanie largely took control of creative that they have a huge team of mostly "Hollywood" writers. And I seriously doubt that will change anytime soon (or ever, really).

Dear Vince, I really really really hope this means opening and closing segments without AJ. Put her in a divas feud or something, please stop centering the narrative around her. Sincerely, kidglov3s Stop acting like that doesn't happen with every Raw GM. Case and point. Bischoff, Ace, Robo-GM Well the Anonymous GM really didn't have the narrative centered around him/her/it. It just blinked, made announcements, and "left". The anon-GM was the closest thing we've had to a "neutral" authority figure (disregarding the Hornswoggle thing).

This board would collapse into a void of sheer what the f*** and open mouth shock.[/quote I also think the entire world would hear the sound of Jim Cornette's head exploding.

Vince is in major overhaul/compensation mode...but unless he's willing to commit to long term writers and consistent, sensible planning with input from his talent, he's going to be f***ed.
