That entry is NOT Jason Voorhees, it's Roy from Friday 13th part 5.

I'm stunned that Hans Beckert placed so low.

Stunned? Really? From what I can see from results so far and from looking at lists posted in the voting thread it seems most people apart from you voted for monsters in the literal sense. Not that I'm saying you should have voted differently or anything because they are movie monsters but it's pretty clear that the top end of this list will likely not be full of relatively obscure German film bad guys.

I'm stunned that Hans Beckert placed so low. Happens. I love "M" but didn't list Hans. But then, I put in Chewbacca, the disfigured woman from "Eyes without a Face", the woman from "Cat People", the ghostly presence from "The Haunting", the Beast from "La Belle et Le Bete" and so on and so forth. Everyone has different lists and we're all going to miss a cool, interesting monster, while including something the others didn't. It's the way it goes. It's why we have threads like this in the first place.

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. - Ringwraiths – Lord of the Rings – T #40 6. - Gort – The Day the Earth Stood Still – T #41 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. – Sauron – The Lord of the Rings – T - #48 14. – Hellboy – Hellboy – T #49 15. 16. 17. 18. – Robby the Robot – Forbidden Planet – T #53 19. – Kraken – Pirates of the Caribbean – T #44 20. – Sarlaac – Star Wars: Return of the Jedi - T #55 21. - Harry - Harry and the Hendersons – T #56 22. 23. 24. – The Pale Man – Pan’s Labyrinth – T #50 25. - Flying Monkeys - The Wizard of Oz – T #60 26. 27. 28. Velociraptor – Jurassic Park - #57 29. - Indigenous Nocturnal Creatures - Pitch Black – T #60 30.
I'm surprised Gort and the Ringwraiths are so low, but then again, I don't consider regular humans with a body count as "monsters," so there's probably a disconnect with other voters.
