Weren't they called The Party Crashers or The Gatecrashers for a bit? At least unofficially. Then I seem to remember Archer accidentally wiping out Hawkins on Superstars once and then Hawkins stomping him out.

I thought they were reasonably good as far as total-jobber-tag-teams go. You always knew they were losing, but you could rely on them to not completely lose your interest in the process.

I never understood this team. They remind me of The Band (Heath/Jinder/Drew) now - some guys with little chemistry with nothing else to do, so they throw 'em together to kill some time. That's Hawkins' entire career after his debut with Ryder. From what I recall, the tag division was in absolute shambles during their time, and they primarily were on Superstars trying to impress Teddy Long to get on Smackdown. It was nice to have another tag team around, I guess. I just remember wishing they'd dude-bro him out so he and Ryder could form a fun team.

Can you believe Curt Hawkins used to have jobbers of his own?

They were a good team that maybe could've been something. I remember them actually getting a decent push at first as it seemed like they were maybe lined up for something, but then they just gave up on it for some reason as they were jobbed out and split up after only like four or five monhs.

Ya know, a lot of people ragged on Archer for being INTENSE! (And well, looking like a rapist), but I thought he had potential. Pretty bad ass theme & good in the ring for a big man.
Seems to be doing well in Japan now. Just wait, in a few years time, we'll have the debut of the masked Lord Kyūdō!

Will being Vance Archer ruin the Lord Kyudo gimmick?

Yes. I also remember after they brokeup that Archer started teaming with Luke Gallows in dark matches/house shows but then they had a match against each other on Superstars and a few days later they were both released.

I did find it amusing that they managed to beat Christian and Matt Hardy on Smackdown, meaning Hawkins was able to do in a week what Ryder couldn't do for months on ECW; beat Captain Charisma.

What's sad is ever since being released, Vance has become more successful then Curt Hawkins. Curt's been in the same spot since then and Vance is now where Tensai was last year.

I always thought it was funny that outside of themselves the only person that seemed to care about them was Matt Striker who I think made up the Gatecrashers name and would actually make them seem important. I remember they were pretty popular on this board back then, too.

I hadn't seen this before LOL ;D I've always really liked Hawkins. But what I did not like, was his pants during this tag team.

Still don't get how Archer made the cut for SVR11 but Hawkins did not, or was that before they teamed up?

I honestly forgot about Vance Archer and thought Curt Hawkins was teamed with Tyler Reks ever since his break up with Ryder.

They actually were entertaining in their squash matches, but of course within a couple of months they were being annihilated by The Big Show.
