Can I just make the observation that when I'm hanging out with my black friends, we frequently make derogatory remarks about each other's races, including but not limited to the particular slurs? Also, you can use those things for humour satirically. Agreed. If saying the N-Word or making racial jokes (about any race) was a crime, me and every single one of my friends, black or otherwise, would be serving 25 to life. As would everyone on this forum. It's all about context. I am a big Russell Peters fan and his comedy act is almost entirely mocking races and their stereotypes. In other words, Hogan saying the N-Word in private, without any real dig at black people, would be about the most un-newsworthy item in the media today, if that is what in fact happened. Michael Richards went on a racist rant. There is a clear difference. Hogan is well liked among the "minority" wrestlers I have seen do shoot interviews, so if he is in fact racist he doesn't seem to treat anyone differently in person. Hell, the people that hate him the most are white (Bret, Savage, Doink, etc) and for reasons unrelated to his personality. Call me skeptical on this one. I'd have to see it to believe it.

I guess we shall see if more information comes out. It's kinda like Weird Al's song. It's gettin' to the point that a famous person can't even get a DUI or go on a racist rant.
If anything, it could be a Michael Hayes deal, where he would offend one guy and another will stick up for him, as with Mark Henry and Booker T. So that's my guess is what it was.

This puts a whole new spin on his constant usage of "brother."

I thought he was down with the brothers, brother.
But Zeus turned him to the darkside of Hogan, Jack!

Well then, Booker wasn't wrong in what he was saying. Hogan probably considered himself an honorary N-word after that, and figured it was ok for him to say.

Here is the issue none of us know Hogan. He could be racist, he might not be. I never would have guessed he was a swinger

It's kinda hard to confuse shootin' the shit with your friends and remarks deemed "derogatory" used in a "rant." If this did happen, I have to hear exactly what he said before I drop the leg on whatever respect for him I had left.

Well if Hogan isn't a fan of the black people, do you think he wants to go back in time and give Jesus the big boot?

However harmless it was, it could get Hogan into trouble. If there are recording of him acting racist it would pretty much ruin him as a spokesperson for TNA as well as any other companies he has ties with.
Isn't Hogan friends with black people, though? I thought he was a good friend of Shaquille O'Neil and Dennis Rodman. The whole thing is probably blown up beyond proportions. He probably may have made a joke or said a word he wouldn't have among black people. I once called a black buddy of mine "mah n***a" and he reacted very upset although I didn't really mean it in any derogatory sense.
