Seriously at this point, if you have a big enough hard drive, Plus is all you need. You get all those free awesome games and discounts on other awesome games. Plus gives you enough digital value that it makes it tempting to give up buying on disc PS3 games. I'm one of those people that prefer physical media and didn't like PS+, I saw it as glorified renting and wasn't impressed with the free trial after the hacking debacle as most of the games were of no interest to me. However it seems that after I stopped paying attention it became awesome and insanely good value for money. I've paid £16 for a six month subscription and for that I'm getting Arkham City, Limbo, Vanquish, LPB2, RE5, Scott Pilgrim, Double Dragon Neon and Infamous 2 and that's without several other titles I've never heard of and whatever is added in upcoming months. It's even better if you have a Vita as they include the best games on the system. Arkham City alone is only a couple of quid less in most shops, admittedly that's different as you actually own it but on this occasion I think PS+ is by far the better option.

The instant game collection is glorified renting, true, but on the flip side, Plus users get an extra discount on virtually all of the sales done on the PSN Store nowadays, so that leads to also full out owning digital copies of games for super cheap.

Stole from IGN
Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is an epic tale of a young boy, Oliver, who embarks on a journey to become a master magician and bring back his dead mother from the parallel world of Ni no Kuni. Along the way he encounters some extraordinary characters, many of whom become helpful allies. They guide Oliver as he explores the vast world and learns the magical skills that will make him strong enough to face his most deadly foes, and ultimately survive an encounter with the White Witch herself.
The world of Ni no Kuni actually runs parallel to the real world. Players will be able to travel between the two. Characters who appear in one world appear in the other as well, but with different roles in this unique RPG experience.

Oh and it is a collaboration between Level 5 games and Studio Ghibli. If you dont known who they are, check wikipedia. The short answer, it is a hell of a good reason to be excited for this game.

Ok, forget mountain lions in Red Dead. Tigers in Far Cry 3 are way scarier. You wont even hear them on the first attack. Then they will circle you out of sight growling low and you never know when they will strike.
And sometimes they have just made a kill and you stumble on them... They protect their food.
Damn near everything in this game will kill your ass!

Blimey it took nearly 4 hours for me to download and install Arkham City with a 7.5 mbps download speed, I intend to tell everybody that when they claim the world is ready for 100% digital distribution.

My download speed is considerably less than that. Hell, the Ni No Kuni demo is 2.6 GB and that would've taken 300+ minutes to download (about 5.3 hours). Something the size of a full retail game like Arkham City would have to download overnight and STILL might not be finished when I wake up. I'm really not happy with my internet connection. I plan on upgrading...everything...soon. By everything, I mean modem, router, and crap like that. This is no way to live!

Yeah I'll be setting Arkham City away tonight but don't expect to actually play it until the weekend, does it come with any DLC?

You guys do realize that, as Plus members, you have the option to set your PS3 to auto update every day at a specific time, and during this time the items on your download queue will be downloaded and installed(and thus if you have anything sitting on the XMB waiting to be installed they'll be installed as well) as well as patches and your Trophies will be updated, right?
I've been using this feature for months now. Hell last night I downloaded the Ni no Kuni demo and BioShock 2, turned my PS3 off after they appeared under download management, went to bed and when I came home from work today, there they were, downloaded and installed.

Sort of, it comes with the Catwoman sections which are a separate download (which I included in the time above). Although I doubt anybody cares I'm sure my download speed is slower what I just got from the speed test, oh well. No, no I did not. Well I was vaguely aware but I didn't realise it worked with the PS3 turned off so I thought it was pointless. Thanks.

Yeah I've got that set to go from 2am - 4am every night but it usually takes a couple of those to get a full game downloaded. I'm not complaining though, I'm patient Also I'm chuffed it comes with the Catwoman sections as I bought the game used and didn't get to play those.....the game I bought also had a code for the Nightwing DLC but the previous owner had used that to, before that DLC was even released!

Well it'll boot the PS3 on when the time update time you set rolls around, but it'll only enter the PS3 in this semi-on state. Basically it is only on to do the updates. Once it finishes them, the PS3 turns itself off again.
