Ya know, I haven't really been following AC3, but watching some ads, looks awesome. Gonna wait a while before getting it though, because if it becomes Desmond-centric, I'm out.

I'll never understand why they are so hell-bent on shoving Desmond down our throats. Nobody plays these games for him. I'm a trophy whore and I didn't even bother attempting to get the ones for completing Desmond's portions of Revelations. Turning those into a Portal knockoff wasn't a wise move either. Either pull the trigger on Desmond and have him be a modern-day Assassin in a game taking place in the present or just phase him out. He's basically worthless as he is.

Who in their right mind thinks it's a good idea to take us out of all the action to do some shitty puzzles? Doesn't help that he's such a whiny bitch as well!

I have had a few good glitches on AC3 already. I got trapped in multiplayer. I went in to see the modes, it forced me to do a tutorial, ok whatever. When I finally got to menus it refused to let me out of the game back to the main menu, I had to reset my ps3 to get out.
Then I have had a conversation where neither character's mouth moved, and instead they leaned in to each other like they were going to kiss...while having a seizure. Then my mouth started moving, but his voice came out.

Add to it a day 1 patch with 44 fixes, including game ending bugs. It is like they knew how broken the PS3 version was and gave us the Benedict Arnold missions as an attempt to make up for it, probably because they feared a Skyrim-esque backlash from PS3 owners.

The patch was for all version I am pretty sure.

So glad I dont have enough interest in AC3 to pick it up until it does a price dive.
Just like with Skyrim, by the time I come to play it, most big bugs and glitches will have been patched.

Releasing a game a year is starting to catch up with Ubisoft. I'm hearing the game is awesome, but that neither machine can actually cope with the game that's been made. Playing the demo in the shop earlier, the forest was still loading around me as I was running through it on the XBox version. There were too many kids crowding the PS3 demo for me to bother going and looking

Basically, AC3 is literally too damn big for the current consoles. Makes me think they should've waited for the next gen of consoles to release this.
Then again if they didn't do yearly releases with Brotherhood and Revelations, we'd be good. If they put a two year gap between the release of each game, Brotherhood would've dropped last year, Revelations in 2013, and 3 in 2015.
However, seeing how they made that stupid 2012 doomsday thing part of Desmond's f***ing plot, they of course had to resolve his story this year.

Weird, I honestly thought the whole point of Desmond was that eventually, they were gonna have an Assassin's Creed in modern times with Desmond being the main character... no Animus, no nothing... just Desmond vs. the Templars

Well that didn't take long. Only two matches in in the multiplayer and I already have my first first place finish(by a large margin, too. I had 13 kills and only 3 deaths in the match. The next best guy had only 9 kills and 4 deaths).
I just don't get how I'm so much better at multiplayer in third person games than first person. I personally believe it is because in third person I can see the other players coming from all directions, whereas in first person you have a giant blind spot called everything not immediately on screen is outside of your field of vision. Makes it much easier to be killed by someone you didn't see.

It doesn't detect those who haven't fired.
