Wow, I would not have expected Tessmacher or Layla to have been higher than Eve... much less by a good margin.

I'm surprised Layla is so high on the list. She was only active for like 4 months during this period of time. I know she was Divas champ, but I didn't think she would be in the top 10.

PWI does such a awful job of this every year it's just baffling how shitty they are. There are so many problems that it's just a waste of energy pointing out all of the errors and contradictions. They're just idiots and it's bizarre that they still get the attention they do in the "digital age" just because they produce a magazine - because it's just a glorified fan list, and a f***ing terrible one at that.

I guess Eve's push came too late for the grading period...
Also, I guess AJ didn't have enough matches during the grading period...
I would suggest changing the criteria, but that opens the door for including valets who never wrestle, so I guess they should keep it as is...

I didn't know Jazz was still active. She's been in the main event of all the SHINE iPPVs, and wrestles Saraya Knight for the SHIMMER Title on tomorrow night's iPPV. She's also had really good matches elsewhere with the likes of LuFisto and Rachel Summerlyn. I saw a video with her preparing for a match against Sara Del Rey. She's pretty jacked, I'm surprised Shimmer doesn't bring her in as a monster heel. Anyway, the list suffers from what happened in 2011. Miz was the number one guy in 2011, but right at the end of the grading period, he started getting beat a lot more. Gail at the end of the grading period started to disappear it seems.

SHIMMER doesn't really use ex-big promotion women, and Jazz is one of those. Although there is the hook tonight that if Jazz wins the title, she'll come to SHIMMER to defend it, the entire main event smacks of Mercedes Martinez costing her the title.

Portia Perez @pperezninja
It's sad that, of all 50 women ranked in the PWI 50, not a single one was deemed good enough to be the feature on the cover.

PWI isn't really that relevant anymore so that not having a major male star would affect sales that much, so they might as well put a woman on the cover for an issue like this.

Portia Perez @pperezninja It's sad that, of all 50 women ranked in the PWI 50, not a single one was deemed good enough to be the feature on the cover. She's got a point! And as far as the rankings, I think it helps to remember that it's decided in a committee-fashion. Anybody who's ever participated in anything remotely similar can see the limitations of such a system, I'm sure. I agree with the poster who noted the exclusion of the consistently underpushed and underrated Hamada, but when I flipped through the actual magazine at the store I could have sworn I saw her in there. Are we sure these are the final official rankings?
