Man talk about not have the WWE physique...
BTW, he's ginger. So they could make him Mini Sheamus or something.

F***IN YES IF THIS IS TRUE
But just don't change anything about the gimmick!! Like the Punk treatment, it is too good of a gimmick to change and can get a ton of money from it through merchandise and general awesomeness that he is

I know, I know, there hasn't been as much of an emphasis on physique in recent years, but for as good as he is, Generico is probably the skinniest, lankiest, big-name indy wrestler I've ever seen. I'd also hope they'd make him shave the chest hair, but eh, one can dream.

Gimmick is pale, hairy and not in very good shape. I love him but I doubt this is true, mainly because they have guys like Gargano and Sami on their list

They've discussed him for years but there was always something (re: Dunn/Vince) that killed the discussion. Maybe with Trips in charge things will be different.

I'd love this so so so much. And with that said I doubt it. They'd make him lose the mask or change his gimmick. I usually don't feel this way, but Generico is one guy I'm sure would be altered. I hope he gets a chance though

I don't ever see El Generico as WWE champion, but I think ultimately Generico woule be a godsend to WWE. It would be like having the best of Mysterio and Santino rolled up into one gigantic ball of win.
It would make me sad that we'd no longer get to see the BRAINBUSTAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!~ though.

I'm also not really sure where they'd hypothetically go with his gimmick, considering that up to Sin Cara's arrival and even concurrently with Sin Cara, they've constantly treated Rey Mysterio like THE ONLY LUCHADOR EVER EVER EVER.
See also: Everyone else that's been in developmental in the past however many years that ever wore a mask unmasking before coming to the roster.

I wonder if Generico getting signed would be enough to kick Steen into getting into shape like he clearly wants to.

Great in the ring with an incredibly fun gimmick that kids would love (and could produce another big mask seller). As long as they look past his physique, I don't see why Generico can't thrive in WWE.

As long as they look past his physique, I wouldn't even think that his physique would be that much of a hurdle over time, Bryan has gotten visually bigger by a fair amount and you gotta think hanging around someone like Ryback has helped with that a ton.

It's simultaneously exciting yet terrifying that they're interested in the best professional wrestler in the world, currently

True. WWE has gotten a lot better over the past couple of years about giving guys with different looks a chance.

Anyone else thinks this screams of a desperate NEWZ writer? I can just picture the wheels spinning in his head...
"I have to get some traffic...oh yeah a new El Generico DVD just came out. Wait! Most of his fans probably already know that. I know! I'll say WWE is interested in signing him! Post and done!"

Can't wait to see what they'd do with him if this is even true.

Most of his fans probably already know that. I know! I'll say WWE is interested in signing him!
