Is this the movie that caused all of Twitter to decide they hate Asians?

You know what would make the hyper-patriotic audience really psyched to see this? Caving to China.

What if Red Dawn was like this?

Why is it still called "Red Dawn"? The original was called "Red Dawn" as a reference to the popular use of the term "Red Menace" in reference to the Soviet Union during the Cold War. With the Chinese (or North Koreans apparently), while they're technically communist, it's a pretty awkward fit. If they want to use proper, outdated, jingoistic racism, a better name would be "Yellow Dawn".

But, "Blue with Red and Some White Dawn" doesn't have much of a ring to it.

Decent enough movie but there were some political undertones that really annoyed the hell out of me personally. I won't get into them because of the rules so I'll just leave it at that.

Another terrible remake and a nice little check for Chris Hemsworth before Thor 2. Next.

Yeah this movie got shelved due to MGM going bankrupt for a while. Cabin in the Woods(which also had Chris Hemsworth in it) also got shelved around the same time.

They really lucked out with the cast for this movie. Considering what some of them have gone on to star in. I'm convinced that if none of the cast of this had gone on to be high profile names this would never have been released.

Same sort of thing happened to the video game Homefront. North Koreans got shoe-horned into being the enemy at the last minute, leading to one of the most ridiculous premises in gaming - how the North Koreans casually took over Japan, South Korea, ect.
