I can honestly say I loved his stuff at the beginning of the show. This guy is supposed to be CHAOS, and Vickie shouldn't really be holding any power on him.
I thought last week he should have been wrecking stuff but the security and constantly telling Vickie to shut up was great. He's supposed to be a scary man, even moreso when he's angry.

"Mr. Ryback, we'll give you everything you want, just let us give the nice people a show and-" "SHUT UP!"
Classic WWE 'writing' - Heels use logic and reason; faces are jerks and tell everyone to shut up.

Ryback shouldn't use logic. He got screwed, he wants Punk.
Trying to put him under the 'face' umbrella is whats wrong.

SHUT UP!
He's better than I expected him to be. The crowd was most into him when he was a loudmouthed asshole so they probably should go into that direction.

Yeah, I'm so tired of this "way to be a face" mentality. What's he supposed to be? Roy f***ing Rogers? I don't want some polite smiling goofy bastard. No one wants that. I can't think back at any time where we had these clear cut happy go lucky faces throughout the company, so the "be a star" stuff doesn't have any credit.

Ryback got what he wanted (Punk at TLC) but didn't leave so Vickie being in charge and having agreed to Ryback's demands was trying to get him to leave to give the fans a show.

Face takes the high road? He's a whitemeat, Stepford smiling, beta who needs to grow balls. Face seems legit angry? He's an asshole who isn't "Be(ing) a STAR".
Moral of the story? Boo the faces.

Oh... Fer chrissake, the complaint isn't that he's angry. The complaint is that he's being a jerk, and that he got his way by throwing a tantrum in the ring.
And yes: call it old-fashioned, but the good guys should be good. I don't think anyone is annoyed at Cena or Sheamus or whatever else face gets criticized because they're too GOOD. People are annoyed because they're SMUG PRICKS.

He was a respectful face who used logic and calm behavior, never resorting to violence. Ah yes and let's not forget The Rock, who was such a good natured, polite babyface. Not every face needs to be a goody goody that abides by the rules and let's heels walk all over them. Just about every face has broken rules or been a prick at one point.

I'm pretty sure the complaints that faces aren't being nice enough are a subtle trolling that some posters jumped on the bandwagon of, believing it was legit.

Ah yes and let's not forget The Rock, who was such a good natured, polite babyface. Not every face needs to be a goody goody that abides by the rules and let's heels walk all over them. Just about every face has broken rules or been a prick at one point. Part of the reason it's annoying when faces do that is because it's so transparent they're desperately trying to recreate Austin. Austin was the exception, and not the rule. They had to organize the entire business around him; he needed to be at the mercy of a company-wide conspiracy to maintain face sympathy. That is hard to do. What I really don't understand is this weird conflation of being a good guy and being a doormat. Those have no connection, in drama or in real life, and yet people talk about them like they're the same. You can abide by the rules (and even be a logical person!) without also letting anybody get away with anything at your expense. Ryback was a bully, and more importantly, he was being a BRAT. He was acting like his anger is more important than the whole show. There's not a face-like thing about him.
