He said he's never going away again. So...what happens after Rock v. Cena?
I'd bet on a rematch, for starters. After that (and possibly a rubber match) I'd move him into a feud with Punk. But it's hard because well...he's the Rock. What do you do with him?
Does he stick around for the occasional match every now and then? Does he come back full time and take on the Swaggers, Zigglers & co.? Plus, how does he top the match with Cena if he wrestles at 'Mania again? Does he challenge for the Streak? Bring back Stone Cold for one more Rock-Austin match? Does he face Rey? Sting? HBK?
There's a lot of possibilities, and I could think of ways to book him as an Undertaker-esque "special attraction" for a little while, but as time goes on it gets tricky. I don't know. What do you guys think?

I figure he'll turn into what Bret Hart is these days, the occasional drop-in surprise guy for a ratings boost.

You don't since he'll be gone.

I can imagine the face of the writers if The Rock wins : "Oh Sh*T"

He'll just be an occasional special appearance guy. I don't think he'll ever wrestle again.
"Never going away" just means he's not going to disown his time in WWE like he tried to a few years ago.

He won't be around, so there's no booking involved. He can come back ever so often for big events like Wrestlemania.

You... don't. He'll drop by every now and again, and will probably do promotion for them. Outside of that, you won't see too many matches from him outside the one at WrestleMania.

...You people realize that past Wrestlemania and maybe the 2nd of April RAW the only times you'll see the Rock will happen in a cinema?

He said he's never going away again. I think a lot of people are looking at the Rock's "never going away" statement way too literally. What he meant was that he will always be a part of the WWE history and acknowledge where he came from, not that he would be a part of the roster and/or make continued appearances on any sort of regular basis.

Then The Rock made a poor choice of words. If he didn't want it interpreted as sticking around and being on the roster, he shouldn't have said what he did.

What I'd like to see:
Rematch with Cena on the following Raw, where Cena makes him tap in about 5 minutes or less.
Then one last rematch at Extreme Rules, ends with Cena tossing him in a dumpster and rolling him out of the arena.
What we will see:
Rock never shows up again, except to plug some crappy movie.

He'll drop by occasionally, possibly having a match at a Big Four PPV. He'll also drop by for skits. However, I don't see him coming back full time.
I'd love to see a match with Punk, though.

Few months I read that there has already been plans for The Rock post mania.
So I take it as he will drop in and out during the year and work matchs only at the big 4 ppvs , and IMO Summerslam should be all but confirmed for him to appear as everyone probably expects it.
