Nothing I could do could possibly undo the damage that's already been done to everything special about wrestling, aside from a few big names.
The only thing I want to do is buy TNA and book an InVasion properly.

Begin to book wrestlers against wrestlers of different tiers. ME can fight midcarders and undercarders more, less matches against PPV opponents to give the matches more of a special feel. I wouldn't resort to squash matches unless they were to introduce someone new, but make sure you get away from having guys face each other 5 times before their big PPV matches.
Also, take the door stipulation out of the freaking cage. Seriously, it just creates more logic holes without adding real drama.

Id get rid of Cole, and to anyone that says that has nothing to do with going old school, tell me a single announcer regarding if he was heel that was as intrusive and damaging to the product as Cole is...
Competent announcers, thats what I miss the most of old wrestling.

Revive WCW and treat it like a totally separate promotion with its own titles and talent.

I would like to see semi-squash type matches with MIDCARDERS versus lower card or jobber wrestlers to make them look tougher.

Bring back the Mean Gene - style backstage interview segments and give wrestlers more creative freedom with promos.

Time efficiency. There is no need for a 15 minute in ring opening with people's entrance, talking, another entrance, more talking, all to reach a match they could have announced at the top of the show in 30 seconds.
In general give guys just straight up interviews. Not backstage segments filmed like a drama, but actually promos involving an interview. Make actual TV interaction rarer so it means more. Try a feud where for a month the two performers only wrestle each other once and perhaps don't even talk face to face once, with everything being back and forth one week to the next.

I would cut down on how flashy everything looks. The stage for tv would be toned down without so many lights. The lights for the crowd would go. I would go all out for wrestlemania though, making it stand out more.
I would go back to the attitude era ring style. Black skirt and red ropes for raw, blue ropes on smackdown.
The metallic ramp from that era would return too. That way people can take bumps more safely on it and get that loud crashing sound when they do it.
It would be tempting to bring back the old style guard rails, as they are better for throwing people into and stuff, but I've gotten used to the black ones.

Squash matches every week. I think that would make every roster guy v. roster guy match a bigger deal. And squash matches really don't have to be boring, you can have entertaining jobbers with gimmicks, fat southern guys, old washed up guys. You can make the argument that JTG, etc, are actually jobbers, and no different than the jobbers of the 80s, but somehow it's not the same. We're still asked, at some level, to take JTG seriously, they call him a superstar, he has an entrance, he has a history in the promotion as a guy with value. I want jobbers who are obviously overmatched, have no chance, and just give midcarders and lower a chance to show off what they can do.

Book a real mid and lower card, with angles, gimmicks and feuds.
Others: Book convincing feuds Don't have wrestlers meet several times in the ring before a ppv match Promos for people other than main eventers

Less PPVS, one Championship belt. Basically this. Yeah, some people would miss out on a title run, but we really need one belt to rule them all.

1) Cut down on PPV's, Have SNME specials to fill gaps....Also ONE ME Championship (It should be Big Gold) 2) Main Eventers Shouldn't be on TV wrestling, Only doing promo's to build feuds. 3) Spend more time on a feud not just "Villain/Hero Of the month" for the current champion 4) PPV specific theme songs 5) Bring back Prime Time Wrestling (Roundtable version), That was fun as hell and could help with building. Every episode would have several of those picture in picture promos during downtime or when guys are en route to the ring.
Not full on jobber squash episodes, we can't go back to that, but I'd have more jobber squashes. Real jobber squashes, not upper carders beating low card contracted wrestlers like Yoshi Tatsu or Tyson Kidd.

I don't think putting a funny hat on a jobber would make the squash more entertaining, honestly. Having someone beat up a dude dressed as a trucker isn't really better than having them beat up on JTG or Tyson Kidd, except they're probably paying the trucker less.

I'd bring back those red/black/red and black/red/black RAW is WAR style banners that used to hang above the ring during the Attitude Era. It was always nice to see them whenever the camera would pan out. Speaking of cameras, like someone said earlier, they should change the direction of how the camera shots are made. A change in direction could make a good match even better and more dramatic to watch.
Plus bring back managers. Everything else I want to say has been beaten to death, by now.

I don't think putting a funny hat on a jobber would make the squash more entertaining, honestly. Well, that would depend on the hat. But ya, I get that, I'm just a fan of squash matches for some reason. I want to see 2 or 3 straight minutes of offense from Trent Baretta and then I want to quickly move onto 2 or 3 straight minutes of offense from Yoshi Tatsu in another match. To get a real sense of everybody and what their character is, what they do in the ring. You can't have entire Monday Night Raw episodes like that, and I understand that it's a minority view and probably would be bad for business - it's just too far of a step back.
