Anyone else think this is what we're building toward?
It makes sense for a couple of reasons, the obvious one being the return of the "old" Kane and the fact that WWE is really building him up again as a huge, monster threat.
The other thing I've been thinking is, well, who else would they possibly go with? It's been said that 'Taker would have been willing to drop the streak to Kane once before. WWE has kind of backed themselves into a corner in regards to selling the streak match at Mania. At this point, even for the most casual fan, it isn't so much a question of "who could beat the Undertaker," but rather, "would WWE go with this person to break the streak?" I'm of the mindset that a large portion of the draw of last year's match had to do with fans wanting to see if HHH would really put himself over 'Taker.
I think this is the line of thinking that will lead to Kane/Taker 3.
If it does go down this road, I'm pretty sure I would be fine with Kane being 'Taker's last WM match.

And for me, that goes for any other matches on the Mania Card.

Anyone but Hunter or Kane is my motto for Taker, because Kane/Taker's matches in 2010 sucked ass. Hell, all Kane/Taker matches have been pretty bad, sans their decent Wrestlemania 14 match.

Taker should take on the guy that gives him sponge baths.

God I hope not. Kane v. Undertaker part 874,398,221: This Time, Kane's Serious, maybe the only match I want to see less than Cena v. Orton.

I want it to happen. More than Taker/HHH certainly.

I don't want him to face either. As much as I like Taker's matches with Hunter and I've enjoyed a few matches Taker's had with Kane during their careers, I want to see someone who can make things interesting and is new. If they do those matches again, I can't get into them because I'll have already written them off as "Forgone Conclusions".

I'd much rather see Triple H/Taker. Kane vs. Undertaker matches are sorta....boring. The storyline and buildup are usually great, but outside of that, it's just not up to snuff.

They should do Kane vs Taker and pretend it is the first match they have ever had.

I would be interested to see it if it truly was the epic final showdown between Kane and Taker that both character's deserve. They both have more mythology than anyone else in the WWE right now and one last battle on the biggest stage of them all would be a great send-off for both of them, whoever wins.
Saying that - if Kane's back immediately on Raw the next night and Taker's back the next Mania to give some other dude yet another shot at the streak, there's no point. Either do it as the big finish to the whole Taker/Kane story or don't do it at all.

No, no, no, please no. I like Undertaker. I like Kane. I do not like Kane and Undertaker's matches together. All of their matches last time were terribly boring. Their match at Wrestlemania 20 was awful too, and that was 8 years ago. The only time I thought they worked well against each other was in 1998 when both men were 10x more agile.

Did anyone else notice that Kane is now using the mandible claw? He did it on Raw this week. Can it be that Kane is being controlled by Mick Foley in order to do something? Maybe Foley is trying to bring Cena to the dark side as a result of the ill fated This Is Your Life deal.

I could probably understand it happening from a story perspective, but I really don't want to see it.
