No because I just don't care about Heath Slater one way or another. This. And where are these "Massive" heel reactions he gets that people talk about? When he came out in Raleigh a couple of weeks ago for the Smackdown taping I went to, you could have whispered to your friend next to you and have people 5 rows back hear you that's how dead they were for him.

THE MIZ has been WWE Champion before. Yeah, I think a Slater reign is somewhat possible.

No one is saying he gets Vickie Guerrero or Michael Cole level heat but the crowd certainly isn't apathetic towards him. Yes there are apathetic towards him. I've been to two Smackdowns this year where he's been on them and both times he received NO reaction. Whatsoever. None.

I see the revisionist history has already kicked in for The Miz's reign.
He got great crowd heat, people were booing the shit out of him when he cut that promo running down all the legends that never won the WWE Title. I said in it another thread, but anyone would have been hurt if they had to feud with an announcer for the belt and then take a backseat to a Cena/Rock feud.

I'm not talking heat, I'm just saying Slater is more qualified than Miz. I agree he gets almost no reaction. Better wrestler by quite a bit, about the same mic skills. Just have him start randomly beating main eventers for no reason and you're set. And give him a weird homoerotic relationship with a valet that carries a briefcase, and you got yourself a main eventer!

Oh I'm not saying I would be against a Heath Slater reign if it was built to right. He was my 2nd favourite of Nexus behind Barrett. I'm dead serious.

It would be the most spectacular fail ever, so I would totally want to see it.

What I meant by my comment was that 3-4 years ago, no one would have thought that the Miz would be WWE champ one day and win in the main event of Wrestlemania. So, it's not out of the realm of possibility for Slater to be champ.

I would much prefer he be in a Championship Scramble match on Smackdown where he starts as one of the first two and the other guy gets jumped by whoever he is feuding with at the time, leading to Slater getting the first pinfall and is the interim WHC. He can then entertain the hell out of us as he gets ping-ponged around while doing nothing but trying to break up any and all pin attempts. In the end, Bryan still walks out with the belt but Slater then insists on being respected as a former WHC.

Since The Miz has been WWE Champion, I wouldn't say it's totally out of this world. Give him a run as a chickenshit heel who won the title by fluke victory and retains it in the most cowardly fashion! He'd probably even be a little more tolerable as champ than Miz was.

Maybe, but the prospect of him cutting promos every week isn't a pleasant one for me.
Also, I remember a few months back when he had a match against Orton on RAW. He came out to absolute silence. It was amazing.

Not as he is right now. He'd need a build to be taken seriously.

Guy has absolutely no credibility right now. The last thing we need is another one of those holding what is supposed to be the top prize in the company.
Not to mention his gimmick right now pretty much holds him back from being taken seriously any time soon. Maybe it's just me, but I don't see the World Champ as a guy whose main quirk is that he loves Southern Rock music.
Not to mention he failed a Wellness test recently. Another reason not to put the guy in that position.

He's fine as a midcard heel. Maybe like Dolph Ziggler, he'll rise up the card, but as is, he can fill Dolph's role of heel who sells moves like death.

He's better than Miz, at least. But I don't know where people are getting that he has this insane heel heat. Crowd seems pretty dead when he comes out for the most part. For gods sake,at least don't compare Miz to Slater.
