This article contains SMACKDOWN SPOILERS so be aware before you go down - I just couldn't fit it in the title.
You gone away now?
No turning back...
Right, this week Bryan retains the title by getting Big Show intentionally disqualified. I think that is a pretty awesome finish to be honest, and is something we haven't seen before. He's being a heel...but...not. It's all building up lovely. But what to? I think the outcome of this should be -
Daniel Bryan turns heel and alligns with Michael Cole.
I know, I know, we have a load of heels and it sounds preposturous but hear me out! It seems like D-Bry is definitely turning heel and he should keep on sort-of cheating the next few weeks. Have Cole sort-of give him credit, but nowhere near enough that it becomes obvious what is happening, he still needs to be burying Bryan left, right and centre. Then, the Royal Rumble, it's Bryan vs. Big Show in a rematch. Have Cole laughing about how there is NO WAY Bryan is winning the title, Big Show is angry and looking for revenge and to be honest, it seems Bryan's going down.
Bryan puts up a good fight during the match, but it seems as though he is getting nowhere fast. Bryan is cornered, nowhere to go. He hits a low blow and gets himself disqualified. Crowd begins to boo, until Teddy Long playa comes out and says the match will continute with no disqualifications! Bryan begins to back out of the ring and Show starts to stalk him around the ring. As they get to the announce table, Show grabs Bryan but then gets nailed with a chair from behind. He turns round and holy shit it's Michael Cole. Show turns around distracted but gets a title belt shot. Cole and Bryan roll him in the ring, Bryan locks in the LeBell Lock in the centre. The weakened Show can't do anything but tap out, and in a WMX7 moment, Bryan & Cole shake hands and St Louis shits all over them.
On Smackdown, Bryan is accompanied by Cole, now doing a complete 180, clapping and saluting him on the way down, holding the ropes for D-Bry on the way in. Cole grabs a mic and says that he fooled you all! This has been his plan the entire time, he has been working with Daniel Bryan, making all of the losers in the crowd feel sorry for him and making people like the Big Show put their guard down, but why should they? He's the WORLD CHAMPION, the best wrestler in the world; and Cole says sorry to Bryan incase he ever went overboard.
Bryan gets the mic and cuts an intense promo on how he realised in the big leagues it doesn't matter how good you were before, it's all politics and who you know, that's why he alligned with the REAL voice of the WWE, learnt the ropes and the savvy on how to succeed in the WWE and look at him now. He's the World Heavyweight Champion, he's been Mr Money in the Bank, he's beaten the biggest, baddest men on the roster and he proved he's smarter then all of the idiots in the WWE Universe. This isn't "SRS", they are effectively trolls, Cole is JUST as annoying only now pro-Bryan.
Think of the heat. Bryan would be public enemy #1, and Cole might actually become entertaining, and can move from the booth to a manager role with Bryan, maybe even starting a little stable over on Smackdown? I don't know why, I just think it'd be super entertaining. Bryan works best as a heel and is going to be a heel anyway it seems but if they're going to make him a coward, why not put him with the biggest weasel in the WWE.
I know it's gonna be a controversial opinion but this is something I'd LOVE to see happen, ever since I had the idea this morning heh.
