All I can say is that I'm a weird mixture of intrigued, confused, ecstatic, annoyed, and amused.

I.......really don't know how to feel about last nights segment.
I'm sure in the long run it'll probably be explained and it will all work out well for Jericho. He'll turn heel and face Punk at Wrestlemania and the crowd will mark out.
But for now atleast, that segment last night was not only really boring, it left me with a really sour taste in my mouth. Maybe I let my wild expectations get the best of me, but I was expecting something ALOT more exciting then that.
Funnily enough thats how I felt about nearly every segment on Raw last night. Bryan/Cody could have lasted a good 10-15 minutes but it was anti-climatic, as was the ending with Cena and Kane.

Watching it again. This really is the greatest jacket of all time. I would make love to that jacket.

The jacket to me was a throwback to the old light up jackets MJ used to wear.

While it's entirely possible that he has an entirely new character, I'd love to see a hybrid between Classic and SRS Jericho.

So I'm part of another forum and in the wrestling thread this is of course the main topic. People are furious, upset, saying it sucks while I and others are looking at it another way. Honestly, the moment I realized he was doing it on purpose I started cracking up. I mean you figure a guy of Jericho's legacy can't be an amazing heel without getting cheered on his return I mean look at the last time he was here. He was doing heelish things and being cheered. Hollywood Rock was a "heel" and yet he was being cheered so what does Jericho do? Hollywood Jericho flips it on his ear and does it in such a way that it somehow works. Very smart of him. I'm sure he'll benefit from this but if anything the WWE is winning regardless why?
Whether people hated it or liked it they are talking about it. They're talking about it.
That's one part Cena. Whether you dislike or like Cena he's being talked about. Jericho's just that special star that can get that going.
Also I'm not sure if it's brought up but on the WWE.com article on Jericho's appearance it means the "she" and his future so the girl will be in play in the future along with his goals. Since we're probably going to get Punk vs Jericho at Mania I get the feeling the female will be Stephanie trying to regain the company it's honor back since Punk flipped it. Just how's Jericho going to work on that I'm not sure.
Either way I'm loving this Jericho because he brings in more questions than answers and along with that he's changed himself again. He said when he returns he's doing something different, he's not the same Jericho and so far it's working. If only people would see the bigger picture. I love it.

Towards the end of his promo to me it sounded like he was actually mocking the crowd, with his pandering.

Delusional, egomaniacal "superstar" Axl Rose-esque Jericho who thinks everyone adores him is gonna be MONEY. Think about it. His SRS character despised playing to the fans, pandering, and refused to do any of it, and was hated. All this Jericho DOES is pander, to an annoying-over-the top level, and act like a total jerk about it - whether he's being fake and just exploiting the fans' love for him for money and fame (like a parody of lots of band's "reunion" tours, or closer to wrestling, The Rock's comeback "for the fans") or whether he's an attention-starved little egomaniacal prick is irrelevant at the moment, but once that becomes clear, the whole thing will be even more complete. But as is, it's a really brilliant character, and a great flip of "SRS" Jericho. "She", by the way, is Jericho's "adoring" public. If this is it, I am totally cool with it. I want to see what happens next week, I know that much. As much as people trust WWE to make this good. I can't. Then don't. Wherever this goes it's more likely to be Jericho's ideas than anyone on the WWE creative team.

He's a clever bastard isn't he.
In one segment he turned the IWC against him.
However what he doesn't bank on is, as soon as he does reveal his proper character we'll be right back behind him.

He wanted to piss everyone off, and he succeeded. . No, he didn't. Read this thread. Read how many posts in this thread are "Jericho is a genius" vs "This return sucked". Most people are praising Jericho for "trolling" everyone. Not a lot of people are hating on him and hoping he gets his ass kicked.

Another point to be raised as to why the segment went the way it did, I think maybe they knew that Jericho was going to get a lot of cheers upon his return. Coming out and pandering the the crowd until they turned on him is a great way for the fans to quickly remember why they should be booing him. I love how at the end of the segment he just turned and walked away to a chorus of boos. Yeah it was the perfect way to deal with the inevitable face pops. I wouldn't want him to do that every week (and I doubt he will) but for one night only it was the cleverest to deal with his return. I'm hoping that in the coming weeks he hypes a highlight reel with a mystery guest that turns out to be himself. Then he can just show old clips of his most average moments and act like they were the greatest nights in the history of our sport.

This was amazing. My exact reaction went from "YESSSS Y2J IS BACK!!!!" to "Uh ok Chris say something" to "Ok we get it you're happy to be back" to "Come on seriously?" which is exactly what it was meant to do.
I'm intrigued to see where this goes. It's Jericho so I assume he's going to hit the main event right away, so I'd love for him to win the Rumble like this, then have no clue why people are booing him.

I first I was like "Oh cool it's Jericho" Then I was like "Ok....." Then I fast forwarded for 5 minutes and said "Alright....." Then I fast forwarded for another 4 minutes and said "Seriously what the hell is this about" Then I heard the boos and then I realized
"Jericho you smartass!"

There has to be some sort of explainable reason for the change, though. Otherwise, this "abra-cadabra" transformation makes no sense. He got punted. lol, what more explanation do you need. If he's going into a program with Punk, it makes perfect sense. Punk in essence as a character, is a total phony. An entertaining phony, but still.... notice how much of a face he is now, as opposed to July or announcer Punk? The SRS thing made perfect sense too, just maybe they hung on to it so long. Shawn Michaels treated him like a joke, he realized he was a joke, he changed. Same gimmick they used with Mark Henry.
