Randy Orton vs Daniel Bryan would be an excellent match, but I might worry about the storyline.

Didn't Triple H AND the Undertaker get fined for doing exposed steel chair shots to the head in their Wrestlemania 27 match? They said on TV that Trips and Taker got fined, so take that for what it's worth.[/quote] It was on the corporate site, so yes (although the amount we'll never know).

Randy Orton vs Daniel Bryan would be an excellent match, but I might worry about the storyline. If the result is Bryan winning and Orton turning into a psychopath heel, I'm all for it.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. The WWE tanked the last guy they had with Rumble momentum, so I'm not sure I want to see any guy on the rise win it. However, established guys winning it...? I think I don't care enough to have feelings about it one way or the other. Just have the Rumble match be semi-interesting and have any jerk win it. If it's an established guy, it'll be boring-cakes. If it's a guy on the rise we can all wait for the moment WWE kills the guy's momentum so they can continue the new annual tradition of torpedoing big summer angles. Hey, wrestling is cyclical! ;D I can't believe people still thing that Punk got buried at NOC when he lost to him. Do people not realize that it took 2 pedigrees, a jackknife powerbomb, AND beatdowns from R-Truth and the Miz? It didn't help Punk in the long run, but he sure as hell didn't get BERRIED as some people here seem to claim. At the risk of starting this argument again: I think people realize what it took to put Punk down and outside of context it's fine. It's just the match and the entire booking surrounding it confirmed a lot of people's reservations about Triple H being randomly shoved into the storyline. Nothing he did helped put Punk over and as a guy who previously hadn't had a match since WM, what good is he to anyone if he's not putting the new guy over especially if the new guy was trading wins against the face of the company? Mr. Haitch didn't even take the fall in the damn tag match against Miz and Truth, which really would've helped them, but whatever. I understand it when people believe Triple H buried Punk. I accept the idea of a burial being more subtle than not selling for Punk's offense, beating him in 10 seconds then telling him he couldn't draw in a flea market or just saying he'd get a better match out of broomstick... Of course we could just wait on Punk to get that decisive, clean win on Triple H that I'm sure he doesn't need because simply having a competitive match with the Resident-Jackass-Sue "puts him over." ...with guys that have as much money and clout as the Undertaker and Triple H that seems pretty weak argument to me. I'm sure they did get fined but...really...?

because they told ahmed, rey, eddie, hardcore holly, mero, and alot of other people thats why they kinda held back on major pushes........ And the world weeps because Ahmed, Holly & Mero got major pushes held back.........well maybe not I dunno. Ahmed Johnson could have been the next Rock, if they let him.

Triple H was already a main eventer before he banged Steph. . That was because he was part of the Clique.

saying that they let Ken Kennedy go just because "he gets injured alot" is a gross oversimplification. not only was he injury prone, he was reckless in the ring and injured both John Cena and Randy Orton. he had a character that had all the depth of a Chick Tract, and he shot himself in the foot with his asinine "I've never done steroids" story the day before he was outed as a major user of illegally acquired steroids. not to mention it completely torpedoed the major "Vince MacMahon's MacBastard" story. and he can't even draw flies in TNA.

Wow just wow. The WWE brainwashing in this thread is amazing.Sure HHH was in the main event before he married steph but he WASN'T THE ENTIRE MAIN EVENT. Plus he was only there because DX needed a new leader after HBK got hurt.
To paraphrase one of my favorite wrestling quotes from Jim Cornette. "The idea that HHH got over solely on his talent would be funny if it wasn't so sad."

I still say Sheamus is winning the Rumble. Then he challenges Bryan, and the match that got bumped off the card last year becomes the headliner (well, for Smackdown at least) this year. Sweet, sweet irony.
The main draw of 'Mania will of course be Cena/Rock, so the Rumble winner/road to Wrestlemania story is taking a backseat anyway. May as well give it to a Smackdown guy (who hasn't already won a Rumble) because Raw doesn't need it.

"The idea that HHH got over solely on his talent would be funny if it wasn't so sad." Triple H became the main event because after Steve Austin and The Rock both left he was the only big name they had left. it had nothing to do with him marrying Steph. Jericho/Benoit/Angle hadn't reached that position yet, Undertaker was always taking time off and Brock Lesnar and Goldberg both left. Trips really was the biggest star they had left, even if he wasn't much of a draw on his own. and to say he didn't earn his main event stripes the old fashioned way is revisionist history. after Wrestlemania 15 he was going to be a big deal regardless, he wasn't even with Steph when he won his first couple titles. people hated the Reign of Terror so much (justifiably so, it was horrible) that they forget what an awesome heel and what a hard worker the guy was from 98-2000.

Others: Triple H was already being pushed before then. How is that brainwashing, exactly? You yourself said he was in the main event, and that's exactly what people said in response to the statement. Has marrying in the family helped his career? Probably, you can't discount it. But acting like he was a floundering jobber before it is just delusional hatred.

For the sake of conversation (and to preserve sanity) there are some points you really just don't address, y'all.
"The only reason Triple H got into his position is because he was with Stephanie!" is one of those points. I don't know why people really respond to that.
