In 2011, we've had five first-time World Champions (Dolph Ziggler, Christian, Alberto Del Rio, Mark Henry, and Daniel Bryan)
Who do you think is going to win the big one in 2012?
My guesses: Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, and Zack Ryder

I'm going to bet on a dark horse here and say Drew McIntyre. I know he has been at the bottom of the barrel this whole year, but this past Friday made me remember how much potential this guy has. It also helps that SD! is lacking in star power right now. I know this isn't a very smart bet, but I will feel very proud if my prediction actually happens.  |

TBH, being on SD is a good thing for him cause it feels like the WHC is the new ECW Title in that they'll give the belt to any deserving midcarder. Although I can see him just taking Rhodes' IC Title so Rhodes can move up to main-event level. |

Mason Ryan. I've read reports of Mason being one of the more popular wrestlers at house shows. I think 2012 will be his year. The guy definitely has a genuine passion for the business, which is something I feel wasn't entirely true for Brock, Batista, Lashley, and some of WWE's other comparably sized men. He's actually a pretty damn good talker, I just wish they would give him time on the mic. |

Zack Ryder my ass. He'll be lucky if he's still in the midcard in 2013.
I say Wade Barrett's the only one I'd call a definite.

I know Dolph Ziggler technically had a cup of coffee with the World Championship in 2011, but I think pretty much everybody has all but forgotten about it by now. I'm seeing a much more significant run with him as champion in 2012.
I think they're gonna hold off on Zack Ryder and bring him into the World Title picture a little more slowly, 2013 might be his year, but not 2012.
Another dark horse - R-Truth. I still think the WWE missed a huge opportunity by not giving him the title when he was red hot as a heel over the summer. Yeah yeah yeah CM Punk shooting blah blah blah, screw that noise, I wants me some crazy R-Truth calling out guys while wearing a Confederate uniform.

Considering the huge improvements he made in 2011, I'd be shocked if Cody doesn't get a world title this year. I'd also expect Ziggler to get a real title reign sometime in 2012.

I'm not a fan of having so many new Champions. The reason back in the day there were so many guys who deserved to be Champion but didn't get it, showed how valuable that title was. No, almost anybody can get it.
I'd like to see the WWE Title and World Title unified.
