So that will mean he's potentially back for Summerslam. Shame for Orton, but also Barrett. Guy was on a roll and now that Orton is gone it can be very easy for him to lose his momentum. He'll probably go into a feud with Sheamus, or hopefully be Bryan's challenger for the Rumble.

People are jumping on the Newz bandwagon too apparently. LOP at the moment (although considering the source they're reporting from I don't think it's going to be there long) has a link to a report suggesting Orton got his third wellness test fail. The source? Some guy with 27 posts on a forum I'd never heard of until now *facepalm* www.lordsofpain.net/news/wwe/BREAKING_NEWS_Randy_Orton_Fails_Wellness_Test.html <-- This is the link, for however long it lasts.

It just really grinds my gears that there's probably fans so fickle and single-minded that they WOULD want a refund because of Randy Orton alone being guaranteed to not show up.
You talk about having conditioned the audience to only care about the main eventers, well, obviously they've taken that into consideration...

What's Keith 'KO' Orton doing in the Impact Zone?!

Actually, I don't think Orton has two Wellness failures. He did fail once but, another time was just for behavior issues. All search results are just pulling up this newz.

Yeah, and the site mods have now locked that section of their forum cos there are about 713 guests on the site.

6 months? Ouch. Hope he can recover quickly. I seriously hope we get RNN updates again. That would be the greatest thing they could do with this.

I think even if this was his 3rd time with as much as Orton makes for them I highly doubt they would fire him....Make him sit out a number days and maybe dock him some pay...But I never see them just firing him.

They'd have to. If not, and they fired somebody else for a 3rd failure, they'd leave themselves open to a huge lawsuit. Otunga knows the score.

They could just fire him then hire him back if that were actually the case. I'm sure there are a few loopholes in the whole wellness thing if something like that would happen.

The policy says that someone fired for their third strike is gone for a year and can then return with 2 strikes.

I was just about to post the Orton wellness-violation "story" too, but it's gone now, so who knows. The injury is bad enough though. Poor guy. 6 months? Ouch. Hope he can recover quickly. I seriously hope we get RNN updates again. That would be the greatest thing they could do with this. I'm so glad that someone else remembers this. I actually emailed getwellrandy@wwe.com ;D

For someone who hardly ever takes a real bump, who does a stop-drop-and-roll on the rare occasions that he's "knocked" out of the ring (always landing on both feet, then going into a "fall"), Orton sure is one fragile son-of-a-gun.

I am NOT wishing injury on anyone, but I will say right now that I would not mind 6-months of Orton-free WWE. I just wish it had been some other way that that 6-months would be attained, like he just wanted a break or something.
Hope his injury heals well, though.

I've got nothing against Orton and I'm certainly not glad he's injured, but I have to admit that as a fan I'm more interested in the prospect of Barrett feuding with Sheamus instead of a rerun with Orton. Absolutely. I will not miss Orton's tired act at all.

That sucks.
While it is unfortunate that he's injured, this could give guys like Sheamus and Bryan a chance to really cement themselves in the main event.
