Apparently the new cover was created by artist Leslie Levings, who you can follow and thank at her twitter @leslielevings.

Serious question that I don't mean to sound like a dick for asking about: When was the last time everyone in the thread actually bought a copy of/subscribed to Nintendo Power? I've read a lot of weepy nostalgia for the magazine and some of it honestly strikes me as crocodile tears from people who just miss bits of their childhood and have no interest in actually reading/supporting the magazine, which is one of the reasons why it's on the way out. To tell the absolute honest truth, I feel a ton of surprise and sadness at this news. I dropped out of Nintendo Power around the 64 era. I went to Playstation, and Nintendo had just really kinda lost me. The feelings my friends and I felt for Nintendo 64 were nothing like they had been for the NES, the SNES, and even the Gameboy. I didn't even know Nintendo Power was still alive and going strong after all these years. To hear "Oh yeah, Goldenbane, Nintendo Power has been running long after you quit subscribing...but now it's dead" is both shocking and sad to me. I guess in the end, it is nothing more than nostalgia, I'm sure the magazine was completely unrecognizable to someone like me during the Wii era, except for the title it seems. Anyway, fair well, Nintendo Power. I'm sad to hear it's gone.

Bought the last issue today.
Basically, it has a list of the magazine's 285 all-time favorite games on Nintendo systems and a history of Nintendo Power.

I thought it was coming out Dec. 11th. I need to get this ASAP. Also, for those interested, here's the final comic in Nintendo Power. Depressing as hell. {Spoiler}

Now they're apparently bringing the magazine back as Nintendo Force Others are putting out Force. Fans who decided to do something. Said fans are from all over the game journalism industry and have a lot of experience. It is a tribute, NP isn't being brought back.
