It was actually explained that a dragon mortally wounded him between his younger self's and older self's points in time when the storyline was done.

I've not found any results from yesterday in Fairfield, but I've seen a few people on Twitter rave about Gulak/O'Rourke. One even said it was a curtain sellout for the other workers on the show, it was that good.

WRESTLING IS AWESOME - JULY 6TH, FAIRFIELD, ME
Ring Announcer Gavin Loudspeaker and Jervis Cottenbelly hold a limbo contest to start the show.
1. Estonian Thunderfrog pinned El Hijo De Ice Cream with a German Suplex.
2. IWE Heavyweight Champion Heart Attack Tommy Mack and Big Gene Geroux beat Jivin Jimmy and THE FRENZY Andy McKenzie in a match contested under Lucha Libre Rules, when Mack pinned Jimmy catching him in mid air with a diamond cutter. Unfortunately nobody knew it was Lucha Libre Rules.
3. Juan Fransisco DE CORANADO beat Jervis Cottenbelly with a roll up after turning his mask around so he couldn't see.
4. Francis O'Rourke beat Drew Gulak in the Match of the Night, an awesome match lots of back and forth wrestling and O'Rourke gets the win with a dragon sleeper.
5. Oleg the Usurper with Sidney Bakabella beat Shane Matthews.
6. Hobo Joey Primer beat Ice Cream JR with the Mangalizer.
7. Max Smashmaster won a Four Way Match also involving Estonian Thunderfrog, Johnny Primer, and Scott Parker when Smashmaster pinned Primer with a big splash.
8. Green Ant beat Jaka by submission with a Front Guillotine choke in an excellent match. Jaka originally won the match with help from Sidney Bakabella, but a second referee comes out and he overturns the decision, and the match was restarted.

WRESTLING IS AWESOME - JULY 7TH, ROCHESTER, NH
Results courtesy of "age of quarrel" from Chikara101.
I ended up getting there in the middle of the second match(Gulak/Mack)
so I ended up missing the Los Ice Creams vs. Haack/Slaaash which was definatly a bummer...I asked the person to my right about what I had missed/if anything had happened and got the reply of.."it was funny"
Gulak beat Mack with the Gulock...pretty hard hitting for a wrestling is show
Oleg beat mcekenzie....oleg was hilarious here imo, he had great crowd interaction, and was getting over with everyone just on personality and character alone. I really cant do justice as to how funny he actually was here. bakabella explained it was his birthday and gave him an onion as a present...which he ate like an apple. and tried to get the crowd to sing him happy birthday.
Castle defeats coranado.....this was a good back and forth match, both guys has plenty of personality in their own rights(not on the oleg level though) Castle wins by reversing a chaos theory(I believe) into his own bridging german (on one leg)...better than I thought it would be for sure.
Intermission
jiving jimmy beat jaka after bakabella interference backfired
Gavin announces via telegram that due to moped problems Jervis Cottonbelly will not be able to make the show on time
Green Ant defeats Kobald by reversing a huracanran/demons toilet attempt into a texas cloverleaf
Francis O'Rourke beat hallowicked via submission this match was awesome
Gavin announces that wins mean everything now because they are heading toward a title tournament....that's all that was said
3.0 wins the battle pit match....2 teams start, and other teams enter at timed intervals, eliminations occur by pinfall, submission, or being thrown over the top rope...a team can only be eliminated when both members are elimated, and if your team member pins or submits someone else your elimated team member comes back into the match(dodgeball rule).
Devistation corp was Smashmaster & Rumblecrunch, Baltic Seige ruulllesss. there were some partner elimations and reinstatments before the primers were elimated first, followed by the siege :/
and finally devo corp. match felt a little rushed, but was lot of fun thanks to the siege/3.0......WIA returns to new England the first week of august.

Honestly, both of those are really strong cards. If I had the funds and the time at the moment, I'd try hitting up one of them.
Kingston vs. Corvis is the match that stands out the most to be a barn burner. Kingston is Kingston, and Corvis is a criminally underrated talent.

To be fair, does beg the question why he shed his Dark Knight gear and went back to the brightly colored shtick with J-Ro? If it is the older one. I mean, what's your end game there, lure out Dragon Dragon?
That...actually wouldn't be a half bad rudo plot. Lure out the creature that's the reason your younger self & you broke up, and arguably sent you into a downward spiral, becoming almost non-existent.
Or, like somebody else said, the present he was banned from is now the past & old Lance grew bored of this realm & returned home as young Lance returned to team with his buddies.
