Yeah, I'm wondering the same. I'm not entirely convinced, but it does seem likely now more than ever.
Though if this ends with Quackenbush triumphantly returning to brutally off GEKIDO and go "See? I was right all along!" and them using it to justify his rudo tactics against them in the past, I might gag.

Couple of changes to tomorrow's Wrestling Is Fun card - Amasis got injured last weekend, so Max Smashmaster now faces Ophidian, and Green Ant has replaced Andrew Everett in EVOLVE's Style Battle this weekend in New York, so assailANT replaces him against the Brown Morning of Belarus.

Apparently Dr.Cube and his minions showed up at Wrestling is Awesome,beat up the new champ(Jagged) and took the gate $$$ and belt. Wrestling is Awesome has been Intensed. From Chikara 101: Just got home from the show. It was a very solid show! Unfortunately as you guessed this was the end. After Jagged won Dr. Cube's minions started coming through the door. They overran the place and EVERYONE associated with the event was laid out. Including about 4-5 guys from the locker room who got jumped as they tried to make the save. Dr. Cube started talking about how HE was awesome(similar to the youtube video). Eventually the GM of Wrestling is Awesome pleaded with him to leave them alone. He said all of the money was tied up in the title belt and the money the gate they made tonight. Dr. Cube responded "Gate? What gate?" and one of his monsters ate the package the ticket money was in. Dr. Cube then kicked the belt out of the ring and asked for one of the Wrestling is Awesome banners. He then cut it in half in front of the GM. At this point none of the wrestlers or crew was moving and Dr Cube grabbed the title belt. He then lead his minions out. The ref was dragged to the back and Gavin took about 5 minutes to get up. Jagged started asking what happened to his belt once Gavin was moving and so I told him. He was shocked. Wrestling WAS Awesome. Curiously, Respect is the only one that doesn't have anything scheduled for the near future, at least not according to their site.

And then there were five. I think Wrestling is Heart might be the next to go, remembering how Eddie Kingston was very critical of it and his less-then-stable current mental condition. Anyone else find it interesting that slowly the Wrestling Is feds are slowly ending Very interesting, as doubtlessly it's part of the greater CHIKARA storyline. Some feel, with how heavy the Watchman influence is, that because all these groups have divided the CHIKARA alumni, someone, like Ozimandias and his scheme to end the Cold War with the threat of a alien invasion he orchestrated, is guiding guys like GEKIDO and Dr. Cube's Posse to destroy these groups so they can eventually unite as one. |

I'm thinking it's more Quack, but yeah, someone has to be behind the Ghosts of Rudos Past coming back and destroying the Wrestling Is promotions, so the CHIKARA people won't be divided anymore. |
