I think you'll find that some of us have no trouble not being homophobic or racist. It's really quite easy. Its not about being or not being its about taking a statement of context. I know people here don't do it here in fact this is One of the most level headed forums I ever seen. Personally I despise racism an the idea of it where all under the same sun.

In 2012, EVERY situation must have a Victim and an Oppressor. Even if there isn't one. People have gotten soft skin over the years . Every little comment offends someone in someway . Its hypocrisy really those same people call there friends gay or faget when they do something stupid. Or use the N word every other sentence because they think it's cool. They won't admit it though double. Standard bs. The only difference here is this guy is semi famous so we need to pick apart an anylise every comment, of every famous person ever. This thread should be lock an he should be left alone. Agreed. The guy spoke his mind, plain and simple. He didn't direct it at me, so I really don't care what he said. And if people are offended then honestly, so what? Did something on twitter really change anyone's life? Not in the least.
I second the motion to lock the thread. We're going around in circles now.

So because he didn't attack you or what you are. It's just fine?
That's alittle weird.

Why should I be offended? It isn't my business, it's between him and the person he said it to.
I mean (not to attack anyone) but did reading this affect anyone's sleep? Did it keep anyone on this forum awake, knowing that Scorpio Sky might be homophobic? I seriously doubt it. We all woke up the next day, the world continued to spin, the 9/10's of society that doesn't even know about this continued to function.
No big deal. If someone gets that offended by something they read on the internet, maybe they should switch to the newspaper.

Its hypocrisy really those same people call there friends gay or faget when they do something stupid. Or use the N word every other sentence because they think it's cool. I don't do that. I actually make a point to call friends out who do say those terms idiotically. So it's not really bullshit considering a large amount of us do actually hold everyone we encounter to the same standards, it's the life of consistency, same reason people on Twitter get hated on for racist tweets at famous footballers against Norwich players this past week, same reason semi-celebrities get called on for using faggot as a replacement for the word idiot, same reason CM Punk had to apologise for calling someone a homophobic phrase once upon a year ago. It's not due to them being famous, it's due to them using it in a way that a lot of people see it. People need to be held responsible* for what they say in case people are foolish enough to believe in this day of further knowledge that it's okay to call people whatever they want without thinking for 1 second before opening their mouth and wiggling out a few syllables with their tongue...or typing on a smartphone or laptop, I'm not saying people type with their tongue, that'd be ludicrous! In a phrase; words are powerful. And with great power comes great responsibility to develop your vocabulary enough to creatively insult people specifically, instead of using phrases which are by and large known to be insulting to a lot of people. Ignorance isn't an excuse, it's a mockery of the education this digital World can provide people. On that note I shall bow out of this thread, good day to one and all. */Dean Ambrose

Who here is saying they're so offended that it's affecting their ability to focus in the real world? I think what he said was hateful, stupid and I'm glad that WWE are not going to consider him, but that assesment took me like...10 seconds tops. I had a damn good nights sleep afterwards and didn't really think about this thread again until seeing it after work. Might want to stop projecting the way you think people are viewing this just because you disagree with them. I'm glad the guy isn't getting a job...that's it.

Why isn't this thread locked? Nothing good can possibly come from this.
He said a stupid thing and he got his ass handed to him. That's not "HURR DURR PC" that's capitalism; less of a risk to their pockets to cut the bum than to keep him.

Alright, lets go over a few of things here: 1: Using a slur to describe someone is bad. Just as he has a right to use it, people have a right to say that and call him on it, we have the right to discuss it and people have a right to state their opinions. We can hope for change, we can say it doesn't concern us since it wasn't directed toward us, we can say what we want about this as long as it follows... 2: our rules. Some of you jumped well past the rules to try and make a point. Do not do that again. You do not have free speech here or on any board. These are private entities and have rules, in this case from us and from Proboards limiting what you can say. There are very few place on the internet that gives free speech rights. Finally, you don't vote or ask in a thread to lock a thread. Not every thread will or can be watched over by us and sure not around the clock. If you want a thread locked, there are 3 ways to do it: - Click on "Report to Mod" that is at the bottom of every post and ask for it to be locked and state why you think it should be locked, preferably, use a post that use a post that is breaking the rules or going to far in your opinion.
- Post to AskAMod in Off Topic with the link and explain why without naming names.
- PM one of us that is online. There is a list of everyone online at the bottom of the board, choose one of us in green (or pink if no green available) and ask us.
That doesn't mean it will get locked, we may come in, clean it up and ask people to act right, but it will let us know there is a problem and let us figure out how it fix it if possible.
