my one problem with the logic of the ladder match: {Spoiler}what dumbasses are setting these things up? they always fill the rings with ladders that are two short to reach the title, so the wrestlers always have to go find the hidden ladder that is big enough to reach it

BJ WHITMER UPDATE by Mike Johnson @ 5:03 PM on 12/16/2012
Although he took a pretty insane bump and was banged up, BJ Whitmer is OK.

Easily the most brutal ladder match I have ever seen, Jesus Christ.

It's hard to say for sure because it's fresh on my mind but this might be my favorite all around PPV this year. Awesome matches with solid build up for every one of them. The pacing was perfect, and I'm so glad everyone's alive.
EDIT: I'm guessing Generico takes another sabbatical, I really hope they commit to him at some point and give us a more sustained dose of the Generic Luchador.

Very good PPV, Ladder War was great, didn't quite live up to my billing but I'm not sure anything could to be honest, I built it up so much. Also really enjoyed Roddy/Elgin and The Wolves match, the Street Fight was decent too (that ending spot was sick, glad BJ's okay) everything else was average or below. Still probably ROH's best show of the year and well worth the money.

great show, second best ladder match of the year (threemendous iii takes that prize)
best roh ippv of the year. my faves were strong-elgin and ladder war. not a bad match on the card, nothing was worse than average (nana-evans)

The three-way tag match was shorter than I would have liked -- I think Jerry Lynn's postmatch probably took longer than budgeted and they had to shorten it up somewhere.
Was surprised that the Wolves reunion got so little pop. As the match went on there was big pop for some of the spots but not for Eddie coming out and the reunion. And sometimes when Richards was in there doing what usually gets pretty big reactions it was crickets. Or seemed that way to me.
Top to bottom, though, excellent show. Steen's title run is an example of how to book a heel champ -- he's never a coward but at the same time has benefitted from cheap and illegal tactics, and he sells for his challengers to make them seem credible while still coming off as a complete badass.

And sometimes when Richards was in there doing what usually gets pretty big reactions it was crickets. Or seemed that way to me. I think the way they introduced Eddie was awkward. I think they should have saved the Mondo stuff for TV. When they had Eddie come out and stand in the ring, and play it coy about whose side he was on when everyone knew he was gonna be on Davey's side, I think that got in the way of the "Wolves are back" pop. If they just had their entrances as normal, save Eddie Edwards for last, play his entrance music out a little while before coming out, I think that would have gotten a better pop.

Seeing the BJ bump live made me feel nauseated. Most unsettling thing I've ever seen at a wrestling event.
I had fun at the show.
