You know, Rock winning didn't piss me off so much, because I was prepped for it, and because it was a great match with a big movie finish that sent the crowd (and people who ordered the PPv) home happy. It was what most people payed for.
Cena winning the rumble over Ryback, however, WAS inexcusable. THAT was killing a new star's heat for a stale, old act. That's two hot faces in one year - Punk and Ryback - who could've been the new "guy" and got passed over for Cena.
I hate 'this business' talk, but John Cena just plain old doesn't deserve to be in the main event at Wrestlemania, nevermind likely getting a rub from beating the Rock. He should be in the HBK 2000's position - hell, he should be putting over Ziggler at 'Mania.
Rock winning the belt is good for business. The fact that he'll be losing to John Cena isn't.
You know, I've been watching wrestling for about 17 years, and I never thought I'd be kind of dreading going to my first 'Mania, but shit. Who do they think wants to see that crap?

I like how stupid this makes Punk look, too. Vince: "Punk, if the Shield gets involved in your match at the Rumble, you will be stripped of the title." Punk: (after Vince leaves) "Don't worry Paul, I got this...hey, Reigns. Turn the lights out before you attack Rock on Sunday. This plan is flawless." This is same Punk who thought DQing a Show/Cena contenders match would get him a Summerslam off.

This is to promote 'Mania people, and Rock will promote the s*** out of this event. Vince once again is a marketing genius.

I can't believe anyone is too angry about something we knew was coming a long long time ago. It is like being mad about winter arriving. It was inevitable. Winter arriving isn't brought about because someone picks it from a variety of other choices. It was incredibly, highly, almost undeniably likely but there was always a chance it might not happen. And a desperate man losing his only hope hurts more than the man who resigned himself to his fate long ago.

I don't care that Punk fell to the People's Elbow. Main eventers have been pinned with it before.
But I HATE that whole restart the match bullshit.

WWE still have to explain who The Shield answers to.
I'm hoping it isn't Punk, and is instead a much better swerve.
...
who am I kidding, they're working for Punk. It's predictable, it's easy. It's WWE.

David Arquette would have more credibility, at this point. Wait...what? Explain. He was more entertaining in his last WWE appearance than Rock's been for the last decade, and he's put more people over in that time. Simple enough.

Terrible PPV for me.
The work was solid. Jericho was a really nice surprise that I was happy to see.
Cena winning was boring. The Rock's win was the most anticlimactic win of a favorite of mine ever. That finish was so contrived, could be seen 10 miles away, and just really saddened me.
This PPV was bad to me on a lot of levels. It's predictability pretty much ruined any chance I had of enjoying it.
I'm stunned at how blase that entire 3 hours felt. It was like wrestling wallpaper.
Cameron is really super hot and I like Jericho though.

Guys Raw is in Vegas and is Raw Roulette Punk is going to be pissed, I hope he brings the f***in house down If Punk does a promo of THAT caliber, and then the glass shatters... Cena can beat Rock and have his hand shook for all I care, my excitement for 'Mania is back on. I'm not holding my breath, though.

It's an anti-Cena crowd in that building. WWE needs to stop thinking of their fans and the IWC as separate entities. Everybody has an internet connection and if they're a wrestling fan, they talk about wrestling on the internet, making them part of the IWC. THANK YOU. I hate the IWC term and the internet darling term. The people who think that only internet fans like CM Punk would've been the same people who thought only internet fans like Steve Austin back in 96, 97 because of his work in ECW and WCW. If you're on this forum, you're a part of the IWC. Bottom line. That may be true, but it's the "I know who's gonna win cause I read spoilers and dirtsheets 8 months ago" people that give everybody in the IWC a bad rep.

Honestly, The Rock is so jacked these days that the People's Elbow looks like a legitimate match ender now.

Aneurin Bevan once defined a Conservative as "A man walking backwards with his face to the future". The same applies to WWE bookers. Oh, what I wish I could say to this post. Unfortunately, we have that "no politics" luxury.

He was more entertaining in his last WWE appearance than Rock's been for the last decade, and he's put more people over in that time. Simple enough. That's not really credibility though. The simple fact that Rock was an active wrestler makes him more credible.

The only way I could see this being salvaged is if it turns out Cena was the one who jumped Rock and as a result Punk gets added to a triple threat match, but that'd require WWE having balls. Then they should have just ended it when The Rock got pinned, and leave Punk's title reign intact.

Didn't you hear Michael Cole? IT WAS THE SHIELD! THAT WAS A TRAVESTY! Good thing Michael Cole is Batman, otherwise we would've never known who attacked the Rock.
