How do people feel about the tabletop minis games. Personally, I love Battletech and found Firestorm Armada fun.

Also for the FAN D&D thing I also call not DM. I'm not sadistic enough to be a DM.

I am sadistic enough but am way too busy to GM any game anytime soon. Besides, I probably would not want to run a D&D game anyways, or at least not a traditional one.

Pretty much the same here. We should really start some sort of F.A.N. D&D guild and use one of the online thingies to play. That sounds like fun. I call not DM. I'd love to DM for you guys, I have a huge game world I've been tinkering with for years. only problem is I'm in school right now and I won't have time for AT LEAST 6 months.

I don't really play either much right now because of time constraints (still haven't read the new rules for 40K) and most of the guys in the local gaming club are a bunch of munchkins anyway. the game needs some SERIOUS restructuring because while there have always been balance issues right now the game is almost unplayable.

I think there's a place for minis, though they're not really my thing. That said, I think the emphasis on minis was one of the major drawbacks of D&D 4E.

I think that using minis in a non-mini game can be helpful so long as they are not the main point. Star Wars: Saga Edition had a perfect balance, I think.
