Generally there's not one reason we love a character, but if you could boil it down to one single favorite moment for a character what are some ones you can think of.
One for me...
Al Bundy: To Hell with him, that trophy's mine!

Not my all-time fav comic character, but he ranks pretty high thanks to this from the amazing Walt Simonson. Like a lot of moments, it needs some context and I can't do it justice. But in short, it's Ragnarock, the twilight of the Gods, and Surtur has been unleashed and has defeated Thor and Odin, and is set to light his sword aflame and wipe out all of Asgard while on Earth the heroes are battling his forces. There is literally no hero left to save the day...

Also not a fictional character, but seeing Sanford fianlly get the big win over Wong at Evo was the s***. Hell same with Yipes, seeing those two tournament after tournament claw their way to the top only to get thrown back down by Wong and finally getting EVO wins over him seperate times were amazing *Yipes in 06 and Sanford 09*.

Superman: General, would you care to step outside?
It's a line that's equal parts corny and badass, just like Supes himself.

Thor breaking Loki's arm in Thor #382 is a much beloved moment for me.
Spiderman whipping Firelord's ass in Amazing Spiderman #270 (on the Comic Book Battle Boards Forums, a lot of jerks cry foul on this victory whenever it's brought up...bad writing...that'd never happen...he's immune...blah blah blah, but I don't care, I love it most, all the same)
The Incredible Hulk utterly destroying Gladiator in Incredible Hulk Annual 1997.
Ben Reilly/Scarlet Spider beating the holy hell out of Venom in Web of Scarlet Spider (can't remember the number though!)
John McLaine and Hans Gruber having a nice laugh together near the end of Die Hard (I dunno why...it's just a funny scene considering what the two have done to each other)
Rocky Balboa defeating Ivan Drago in Rocky IV (specifically when he finally seems to hurt the big Russian via cutting his eye. I also love Duke screaming at him "YOU HIT HIM! YOU HURT HIM! YOU SEE? YOU SEE? HE'S NOT A MACHINE, HE'S A MAN!!!!!")
New Moon rolling a 20 against the Bandit King in The Gamers.

Superman - In All Star Superman, Supes is completing these world saving tasks, and in the middle of all of it stops to comfort a suicidal teen.
Luke Skywalker - Throwing down his lightsaber, and refusing to go down the path to the dark side.
Indiana Jones - The conversation with his dad at the end of Last Crusade and then riding off into the sunset with his dad, Marcus, and Sallah.
Locke - "I won't let go, I promise."
Batman - "It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me."
Angel and every member of Angel Investigations that was there - Staring down an army of 30,000 demons and not running.

Spider-Man when he fought Juggernaut, despite being incredibly outmatched he never backed down.
Hal Jordan punching out Batman.
Piccolo fusing with Kami and going one on one with Android 17.
Tien holding back Imperfect Cell with his Tri-Beam attack.

Kenshiro-"Hokuto Shin-Ken has existed for 2000 years. And it cannot be mastered by scum like you."
Son Gohan-SSJ2
James Bond-" For England, James?" "No, for me." Rocky Balboa: "You know I couldn't have done nothing without you...Yo Adrian we did it*Kisses Tombstone*.......we did it....*Walks off in the distance*" From the last scene of "Rocky Balboa" from 2006.
Darth Vader: On Cloud City when he's just sitting at the table casually waiting for Han, Leia, Lando, and Chewie. The best part was that Han tried shooting him and Vader just casually force pulls it away from him. All the while looking like it was routine.
Han Solo-Chewing out the Jedi Council in Betrayal.
Nucky Thompson-Strutting out of the courtroom.
Ralph Cifaratto-Calling Tony out on his hypocrisy. No, Ralph wasn't the best of people either, but it was about time someone called Tony out. "What are you a vegetarian? You eat beef and sausage by the f****** carload!"
Son Goku: talk about shaming someone.

The quintessential "this is why you suck" speech, which was not only totally warranted (given that episode particularly, but also a lot of the series), but was fairly unexpected, especially with how protected Rachel usually is and Ross's standing status as resident butt-monkey.
And they were on a break!

His final scene with Aragorn seals it...."My brother, my captain, my king." And of course:
