One of the things I like to do online is read about different comicbook superheroes and/or heroines. I never grew up reading the comics about them, but recently I've gained interest in many of them mostly due to the influx of movies that have come out in the last decade or so. Most of the heroes I read about are pretty simple to figure out how Hollywood could turn them into movies. One that I'm wondering about is She-Hulk. Okay, so we know how she became She-Hulk so we would have to incorporate the original Hulk into the story. What about an enemy? I was thinking Titania, except with her origin including Dr. Doom, how would they incorporate him into the story? Would they have to just rewrite things or come up with something different? Should they include Volcana? The other thing is how would they do the transforming? She-Hulk isn't nearly as enormous as the real Hulk, so making her CGI might not make as much sense. But would they alter the original actress that played the human version in some way, or get a big muscley chick and color her green? And who could play either role? What do you who know more about She-Hulk think about the movie idea? Different characters? Different enemies? Should they include other Superheroes into the story? What could the story be? Who would cast in said roles? Tell me, people, I long to understand more about She-Hulk.

two things:
1. There's already a She-Hulk movie coming out. It stars Chyna. It's not a kid's movie.
2. She-Hulk is one of the worst characters ever and is easily the least interesting of Marvel's better known female characters. People constantly rip on much better characters like Dazzler and the Invisible Woman but She-Hulk gets a pass, don't ask me why.

because She-Hulk is awesome? honestly I've always found her cooler than Hulk. he can get pretty one-note at times.
the Chyna porno hardly counts as a legitimate movie and Chyna's too fugly to be She-Hulk.
TBH though, Shulkie would probably be a really tough sell as a solo-film character. she works much better as part of an ensemble cast. she's a quirky, funny character who works best when she has other heroes to play off of.

Maybe it's because I'm mostly familiar with the Silver Age She-Hulk, but all I know is that Essential She-Hulk is the worst book in the Marvel Essentials line by far and in it she is more boring than quirky or funny.

Banjo you are not just interested in this movie concept because of all the She-Hulk porn on the Internet, and sadly there is a lot more out there than the Chyna 'movie', are you?

There have been some fantastic runs since then with one of the hallmarks being breaking the fourth wall. It has had some pretty damn good comedy runs.

She-Hulk, like Spider-Man and Deathstroke, was Deadpool before Deadpool (you can probably guess my thoughts on Deadpool*]. She was dull, uninteresting, and boring until someone came along and made her break out with a be gimmick. In thus case, fourth wall breaking, leading to post-modern humor such as climbing out of a panel to escape to the next page, or citing published Marvel comic books as evidence for court cases.
How does one do a She-Hulk movie, a real She-Hulk movie? Make it more or less an action-comedy where the action mainly stems from the obvious superheroics and the comedy comes from general lightheartedness and fourth wall-breaking. One problem IMO: She-Hulk is very tall and she is buff - they are intrinsic to her character. Good luck finding a woman who is tall (lifts, apple boxes, and pragmatic adaptation can solve some of this), buff (at least toned, but at least some noticeable muscle mass is better; perhaps the same VFX that "wimpified" Chris Evans in Captain America could be used in reverse), and can act.
*The character, not the ex-poster (RIP) of course.

The idealized best case scenario movie you guys seem to be describing (with the caveat that I know nothing about She Hulk) sounds a lot like My Super Ex Girlfriend. That movie was amazing but it did no business.

Im getting into She Hulks comics recently, i think it could be done ok though an animated movie would be better. Saying that, i hated her in the Hulk 90s cartoon series.

They won't do it, no matter how good the script is. With the exception of 'Elektra', name a female driven Marvel film in the past 20 years. & Elektra didn't even make back it's budget.
I'm not saying it should/shouldn't happen, but I wouldn't hold my breath on a female-led superhero movie in the near future.
WB has made their position on producing action films with female leads pretty clear and Marvel doesn't exactly have the best track record either.
She-Hulk's so down on the totem pole in the Marvel-verse we're more likely to get a Scarlet Johansen Black Widow film than a She-Hulk.

Female-fronted action movies in general tend to do poorly at the box office (and with critics). I can only think of Kill Bill and the Resident Evil movies as having any sort of following. Ultraviolet, Aeon Flux, Haywire, and even going back as far as Red Sonja all performed rather poorly, didn't they? As much as I love She-Hulk's solo serieses, I think the best course for a cinematic She-Hulk (not that I think we'll get one, sadly) would be to debut her in a Hulk movie and then put her in an Avengers sequel. Though, even then, I'd have no idea who could play her.

If audiences and people in general weren't so intolerant to new things (and also stupid) these days, a She-Hulk movie featuring her at Goodman, Lieber, Kurtzberg & Holliway would be a wonderous thing to behold.

Let Kelly Sue Deconnick take a pass at the script and I am all for it. Who? Current writer for Captain (Formerly Ms) Marvel. Also, apparently she's done Matt Fraction. I only bring that up because it was the first two things that came up under Google Image.
