I have no clue where this would go, but I'd say here because all the MMA news gets put here. Has anyone purchased this game? Is it worth the now $30 price tag, even with the supposed gameplay issues and the patch that never was?

Sure, submissions are actually playable now.

It's good. It won't sustain you, but I bought on release and wore it out for a good week and will still pop it in there every now and again and run through a career. (I'm not your cyber gaming type)
There's plenty of fighters. The mechanics are reasonable. You have options mode-wise.
For $30 if you're a fan of the sport or just like fighting games? Absolutely.

I enjoy this game.
Though my favorite feature is that it automatically saves replays of the last 50 rounds you've fought.

Sure, submissions are actually playable now. A thousand times, this. Plus, if you were at all a Pride fan, that's a huge bonus as well. For me, I still break it out from time to time, and put together a PPV to play. And I don't play online, so the issues were minor to me. The price is right. Give it a shot.

They have the same fighting style, need to mix it up a bit.

They finally hit it with the 3rd title. Great gameplay and Pride mode is really good. Great feature.
It's gotta be really cheap now, so go for it.
