@adamschefter As Seahawks CB Richard Sherman tweeted, he has won his appeal and avoided a four-game suspension. Huge news for Seattle.

So he pulled a Ryan Braun, not really fighting the result, just the protocol. Bet you that's the last time he takes Adderall though.

Pro Bowl voting favors early season performance WAY more than late season. So I can understand Cruz, who got off to a really hot start only to stumble in December, getting in. And Dez Bryant, who got off to a terrible start only to get super hot the last few weeks, getting snubbed. Contrast that with Rex Ryan, who has had to throw the kitchen sink at every opponent he's played in order to stay in it with his stagnant offense. Say what you want about his bragging (which has been absent this year), he hasn't made many missteps during games, and off the field, his main one was waiting for Sanchez to gain his composure, which obviously never happened. Rex's problems were his personnel decisions (which he shares with the GM) and I don't think his demeanor is suited to being a head coach. If he wins a close game against a bad .500 team, he brags like he just clinched a playoff spot. If he loses, he focuses too much on the positives. Like if you see championship winning coaches talk about those kinds of games in press conferences, they're pissed. The most negative I've seen Rex get was just really bummed after the Titans game that eliminated them from playoff competition. I think he cares more about being liked by his players and staff than he does being their coach and leader. I really don't think he has any idea what he's doing outside of his defense comfort zone and even then the defense was pretty bad this year. I just think Rex is a far better coordinator than head coach. Some guys are just poorly suited for the job. And Rex Ryan strikes me way more as a Norv Turner or Wade Phillips than a Bill Belichick or Tom Coughlin. The worst on-field decision he made was the Buttfumble game vs. the Pats on Thanksgiving. Mark Sanchez had no backup quarterback that day. Tebow was dressed for some reason, but he was unable to play due to his rib injury. And McElroy wasn't activated. So if Sanchez had to be taken out of the game, they were kinda up shit's creek there.

Sherman's camp denied the story that claimed it was adderall. The NFL isn't legally allowed to talk about any of this, hence why they haven't made any official statements on the matter. The only reason its such a story, or a story at all is because details were leaked

When they win, they're world beaters. When things go badly? They turn on each other at the drop of a hat. That much was made clear when a few guys decided to trash Tim Tebow (anonymously, of course) despite their woes not being much of Tebow's doing.

A source tells the Sacramento Bee that 49ers RE Justin Smith has been diagnosed with a partially torn left triceps.

@peytonshead If the Chiefs have 5 actual Pro Bowlers on that roster, everyone else is a Middle-Schooler, or Romeo Crennel should be fired twice.

Man, as a Vikings fan who knows that Green Bay's going to have a stranglehold on the Division for a while.... I kind of want to see the Lions make it back into the playoffs again. I don't even know why.

You know, the one thing other than the new concussion rules and NFLN games (yeah I like the Thursday games) from Goodell's time that I like is having the last weekend be divisional match ups. We have two divisions to be decided and I think at least 5 seedings. Plus it's always fun to have some rivalry games before the playoffs.

I don't even know why. I have an interesting take on the game Sunday. I want to see Green Bay win, and see Peterson break the record.

Hindsight's awesome and all, but how many people really expected Russell Wilson to be as good as he ended up being at the draft?

Hindsight's awesome and all, but how many people really expected Russell Wilson to be as good as he ended up being at the draft? Bill Simmons (The Sports Guy) predicted it right before the season. That's pretty much it.
