I really think people are overlooking the Broncos as weird as it is to say. People want to make a big deal out of their close losses to NE, ATL and HOU not realizing or ignoring that they were 6-6-10 point losses. We had a defense that started off learning a new coaches system yet again and had several starters suspended. Then the obvious, an entirely new offense for the third time in 2 seasons with their 3rd QB in 2 seasons, with Manning and his offense being huge on adjustments and timing which was obviously an issue in the early games. Peyton and the rest of offense said they weren't comfortable with each other until week 8. Now I am not saying those games don't count or anything stupid like that, Denver lost, but to write them off as frauds based on those games while ignoring everything else is just ridiculous. I'm looking forward to seeing what this team when hitting on all cylinders can do against 2 of those 3 again (I'd say all 3 but no chance in hell we see ATL again). Maybe we win, maybe we lose another close one but it won't be an embarrassment like some seem to think. Agree with all of it, especially people overlooking us because of how we've been in past seasons. However, Denver and the post-season scares me - I'm optimistic as hell and excited as can be, but I just hope we don't get let down like in '05 or last season against the Pats. Although this team is miles ahead of where we were last year - so I have a LOT more hope for this squad to reach the promised land than I did last season's squad, and I was jacked up for last season's squad.

Sometimes, the way QB's play consistently or inconsistently overall play a role in how they're seen when not at their best
Last month, Matt Ryan had 5 picks and a fumble against Arizona- an outlier of a game by his standards- but still overcame his mistakes by doing enough to set up a win.
Last Monday, Mark Sanchez was terrible with 4 picks- 2 less turnovers than Ryan- and had his own chance to make up for it with a short field. Unlike Ryan, he couldn't deliver victory.
Ryan is 0-3 in the playoffs and Sanchez 4-2, but you wouldn't know that by how their fans view them- despite how much we value QB's on postseason play
Atlanta fans probably looked at that ARZ game as a radar blip. Jets fans, OTOH, want to run Sanchez off the rails and out of New York

Denver's been on a ridiculous hot streak and it feels like forever since they lost to the Pats. I think they can easily beat any of the other AFC playoff teams except for New England. It's a tossup there. I do think Denver is a better overall team, but the New England offense outclasses Denver's. They're the one AFC team I wouldn't want to face in the playoffs if you made me choose, with the Pats being a close second and the Texans as a somewhat distant third. Bengals and Ravens are way too unpredictable for me to really say which one shows up. And the Colts are a total question mark because it's a very young, unseasoned team. Quite frankly I'm amazed they even made the playoffs.

Indy oughta throw a parade for just making the playoffs after what happened last year.

If Washington goes to the playoffs, I have to ask, has it ever happened in NFL history that the teams with the first two draft picks immediately went to the postseason the following year?

You know that phrase All Bark, No Bite?
Well, Russell Wilson is the exact opposite- All Bite, No Bark. A quiet assassin.

NE defense isn't all that great. I mean Jacksonville, JACKSONVILLE, nearly pushed the Pats into overtime today. I wouldn't be surprised if Cincinatti beat the Pats. Everything's up in the air at this point. Well, no offense, but of course your defense is going to look like crap when both of your starting corners and your starting middle linebacker are all out.

Nobody's unbeatable this season. This isn't like last year, where you had some clear-cut standout teams (Green Bay, New Orleans, San Francisco).
If the Giants, by the grace of god, get in as the last Wild Card, they will get enormous benefit of the doubt.

The Chiefs best can't do enough to get accolades he'd earn any other year.
Jamaal Charles- terrific year after his week 2 injury last year. Unforutnately, he has no shot at Comeback Player of the Year amidst what Peyton and Purple Jesus have done.
(That said, he's had 3 games of 3, 4, and 10 yards to counter games of 233 and 226 yards

When's the last time anyone said "big game" and "Rams" in the same sentence? 2001. Try 2010....in Week 17.....against Seattle Granted this may not be anywhere near as close as that game was but I believe in Coach Fisher and what we have.

Didnt see this posted, but the NE/Miami game has been moved to 425 next week to avoid having the payoff seeding determined by the end of the 1pm games. Gotta say, it's one thing the league does that I like to try and ensure the integrity of the week 17 games

So it comes down to this. All Dallas has to do is defeat their division rival, and they will win the East and make it to the playoffs. Wait a second, didn't this play out LAST YEAR? Oh God..... I'm not liking Big D's chances, especially since this one's in hostile territory.

Atlanta won in spite of Ryan, and had they played a team whose offense could hurt them on turnovers they would've been laughed out of the building. Which is precisely why no one takes Atlanta seriously.

I could see just about any teams making the Super Bowl except for maybe the Bengals and Vikings.

They haven't looked good for weeks now. expect Romo to throw about 5 INTs.

That was an absolute asskicking, the Seahawks dominated from start to finish. The only positive I can take from this is that we still win the division with a win against the Cards and that Seattle will be on the road throughout the playoffs.
