Former Steelers LB Joey Porter was arrested in Bakersfield (CA) on Friday night on a felony count of writing bad checks.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the decision on Seahawks LCB Richard Sherman's four-game PEDs suspension appeal is expected to be announced Thursday.
With Nick Foles out with a broken hand, Michael Vick will start Sunday's finale against the Giants.

That works out nicely for Vick, if he has a monster game someone will grossly over pay him. I could see Arizona signing him to try and make Fitzgerald happy.

For all the problems they've had in drafting players, they've done a brilliant job in managing cap space. The issue is stupid contract extensions and personnel evaluation, which hopefully the new guy is decent with those.

also, for those curious about how week 17 match ups's potential effects on playoff seeding: AFC [/u] NFC[/u] [/center] Even though all but a couple spots are determined, still a lot of playoff implications for these games next weekend.

CSN Bay Area's Paul Gutierrez reports a Monday CT scan revealed that Carson Palmer has cracked ribs and bruised lung after Sunday's mammoth blow to the back from Panthers RE Greg Hardy.
Matt Leinart will get the start

The Cowboys would be idiots to get rid of Romo for this reason:
If not him, then who?
Yesterday was not his fault- he didn't have any boneheaded mistakes or turnovers or picks (Dallas' lone turnover was on DeMarco Murray, not Romo). It's also not his fault that they couldn't recover the OT fumble.
That said, the Cowboys could be dumb enough to trade for Mark Sanchez BECAUSE HE HAS A BETTER PLAYOFF TRACK RECORD!

There is no one stupid enough to think Mark Sanchez is fit to start on any NFL team.

Correct me if I'm wrong: The only way the New York Giants pass to the playoffs is if Chicago loses to Detroit?

Tony Romo is pretty much the main reason why the Cowboys are even in playoff contention this late in the season. He's been excellent and they'd be fools to get rid of him. Why? For all the problems they've had in drafting players, they've done a brilliant job in managing cap space. The issue is stupid contract extensions and personnel evaluation, which hopefully the new guy is decent with those. Amusingly enough, Tannenbaum actually did a pretty decent job of evaluating talent when he did it with Eric Mangini. They hit a home run with Darelle Revis. The new GM would pretty much have to ignore anything Rex Ryan says because he has no idea what he's doing for talent evaluation.

Eli Manning is probably the only guy in football I could trust going into Seattle (Giants would go to Sea or SF if they get their miracle).
And, of course, ELI MANNING IS SO CLUTCH IN THE PLAYOFFS ON THE ROAD YOU DON'T BET AGAINST HIM AS A ROAD UNDERDOG
Trust me, everybody in the NFC would let out a mighty cheer if the Giants are eliminated (particularly GB, SF, ATL)

According to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora, the feeling around the NFL is that the Eagles will make a "heavy push" to land Oregon's Chip Kelly as Andy Reid's head-coaching replacement.

Getting Edwards for long passes, LdT for rushing TDs and Holmes to be a #1 WR. What happened to him in 2011 and 2012 is the complete opposite. We need a GM like the old Tannenbaum.

I heard some Dolphins fans at the bar at work the other day running their yaps about how they'd take Mark Sanchez over Ryan Tannehill any day.
My reaction was pretty much LOLWUT???
Have they never watched Sanchez play? Ever?

Mario Manningham tore his ACL and PCL in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks and is out for the season.

Have they never watched Sanchez play? Ever? Those are the only Dolphin fans. Most of us like what we've seen from Tannehill and want to get him weapons
