Watching the 98 Yankees was one of my favorite memories growing up. Also the 99 Rams and 01 Miami Hurricanes were incredible to watch.

2008 Pittsburgh Steelers. That defense was on-par with the 2000 Ravens. No doubt in my mind. They won games so many different ways. Just a fantastic football team to watch. Sheer greatness.

For hockey, the 2001-02 Red Wings. I wasn't alive in the 80's to see the Oilers dynasty

Local: MLB '98 Yankees: Kicked ass and took names. '06 Mets: Excellent lineup and pretty good pitching. Would've taken the World Series if Willie didn't throw Heilman out there for the 9th.
NFL: 2008 New York Giants: Something to think about; the Giants beat every team that contended in the Championship games for the right to go to the Super Bowl. Had it not been for Plaxico playing Cheddabob, the Giants would've won back-to-back championships and it wouldn't have been close. Needless to say, the '08 Giants defended their championship far better than this rendition did.
1998 New York Jets: Led the Broncos 10-0 in the third quarter and then went to pot. Probably the best Jets team ever.
Seen: '95-'96 Chicago Bulls. 72-10. Steamrolled through the playoffs, and easily smoked the Sonics for their 4th NBA title in 6 years. 2000-01 Los Angeles Lakers: A poster above mentioned the 15-1 record in the postseason. I really thought that they were going to sweep the playoffs that spring.

For hockey, the 2001-02 Red Wings. I wasn't alive in the 80's to see the Oilers dynasty Yeah, that team was ridiculous. Didn't their 3rd line consist of an aging, but still a scoring machine Brett Hull and two really young versions of Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk? To add to that, I barely remember them but one of the greatest regular season teams in NHL history had to be the 95-96 Red Wings. They won 62 games and made it look easy...until they met the Avs of course.

99 St Louis Rams were just amazing, ditto for the 2001 Rams, As a Pats fan I'll say it with no shame, if they replayed that Super Bowl 100 times the Pats would lose 95 of them.
The Jordan Bulls of the early/mid 90s were just amazing as well.

1983-84 San Francisco 49ers 1994-95 San Francisco 49ers
1988-1990 Oakland A's (and the one team that one the World Series was probably the weakest of those three)
Other:
1995-96 Chicago Bulls

1998 Denver Broncos were just a juggernaut. The Super Bowls hould have been them versus Minnesota instead of Atlanta. That would have been a compelling match-up.
1999 St. Louis Rams were another juggernaut-like team. I have all 3 playoff games we won on DVD and its amazing how we dominated Minnesota in the Divisional rounds (Lead 49-14 til we let off the gas) and how we played pretty damn well against a Bucs defense that played with courageous effort.
2007 New England Patriots were ridiculous to watch. They blew out almost every team they faced, played in 5 classic games against the Colts, Eagles, Ravens, and Giants (twice). Fun to watch and just dominant.
2001 Miami Hurricanes were a monster team on both sides of the ball. I think they're by far the best of their era.
2005 Texas Longhorns blew out everyone except Ohio State in Columbus and USC in the Title game. Fantastic team with a tough defense and a juggernaut offense.
2007 LSU Tigers are very underrated. They may have lost to Kentucky and Arkansas but both games went to triple overtime. Undefeated in regulation and along the way beat 11-3 Va Tech (by 41), 9-4 Florida with Heisman Trophy Winner Tim Tebow, 9-4 Auburn, and 10-4 Tennessee along with 11-2.

It was Scotty Bowman's last year as a coach the greatest coach in hockey and one of the greatest in sports history period. Hasek was in net with Legace as a backup. For your top 9 forwards you had Shanahan, Federov, Brett Hull, A Rookie Datsyuk, Yzerman finally recovering from his knee surgery and returning to form, Igor Larinov, Holmstrom, Kris Draper, and Luc Robitallie. Your top 4 D was Lidstrom, Chelios, Duchesne, and Fischer. You had so many veteran players who are still good playing like mad to finally win their first cup in their long illustriousness careers so they played mad as hell in the playoffs. Oh Vancouver is leading us 2-0 in the opening round, f*** you I want my f***ing cup. Win 4 games in a row in dominating fashion. LOL ST. LOUIS? Oh Colorado you're leading us 3-2? Well I Hasek am going to shut you out for the next 2 games in a row while we score a combined 9 goals against you during those two games. Carolina you win OT, well f*** you for wasting my time you're done. They have a special place in my heart because it was the playoff series that really got me into hockey rather than watching it casually and only fanatically in the playoffs.

Best football team I've ever seen was the Arsenal team of 2003/2004- The Invincibles. I truly believe that an unbeaten season in the PL will never be done again in my lifetime. This. And this.

The 1995 Atlanta Braves, the team that finally got its World Series win. They dominated the regular season and shut down one of the greatest offenses of all time, the Cleveland Indians, in that World Series. Greg Maddux: 19-2, 1.63 ERA. In my book, that was the greatest pitching season ever. The Braves had a lot of other great regular seasons, but nothing can top 1995. I was going to say the 1995 Indians myself. No lead was safe with that offense. Their lineup was almost impenetrable. Kenny Lofton - Best basestealer in the league and arguably best bunter. Drew walks and got on base consistently. Omar Vizquel - Excellent bunter and got on base at a decent clip. Carlos Baerga - A second baseman capable of 200 hits, 25 HRs and 90 RBIs. Albert Belle - Only 50-HR/50-2B season in history. Eddie Murray - 39 years old and lead the team in batting average (.323) and hit 21 HRs to go with 82 RBIs. Jim Thome - Really began to develop his power in 1995. Got lots of clutch hits. Manny Ramirez - Hit 31 HRs batting seventh. For those counting, that's three future members of the 500 HR club batting 5-6-7. Paul Sorrento - Didn't make a lot of contact, but 25 bombs out of the 8-hole is pretty good. Best remembered for hitting a walkoff homer to cap a 10-run comeback over the Blue Jays. Tony Pena - Filled in admirably for Sandy Alomar and hit one of the most memorable home runs in franchise history. That was a damn good team. They were so dominant, you just had to tip your hat to them. (Think they won the Central by 30 games - No other team even came close.)

You know, you can thank the good ol' Kings for the creation for that team. Wings upper management was furious that we beat them the year before in the first round and reloaded like mad men (as we clearly saw) during the off-season.

'96 Bulls. That team was amazing
'08 Cubs. Although, them taking a complete dump in the playoffs against the Dodgers leaves a sour taste in my mouth..... that was a helluva team during the regular season.
