This tends to happen all over the internet when you have anybody who belongs to any identity group aside from "hetero white male", to varying degrees, and a lot of times it just seems like it's a scorched-earth option to shut down disagreement. I hear what you're saying, and you're making a smart point with respect, and so I really don't want this to sound like an accusation at all. But, I've seen a lot of people SAY that people attack hetero white men by accusing them of prejudice, but I've only ever seen people DO that... once, that I can recall. I'm not saying it's impossible, just that it's rarer than people often feel like it is. Besides, it's just as much of a scorched-earth attack, if not worse, to imply that pointing out subtle prejudice against a non-hetero-white-male group is a scorched-earth attack. Because now people may be hesitant to point it out, for fear of wrecking the conversation.

Because now people may be hesitant to point it out, for fear of wrecking the conversation. This is really meant less as a defense of HWMs as it is that they're still considered the "safe" target, is all, since one can dislike them or their works without being seen as a bigot (even though that's a form of bigotry in and of itself, but yeah). As for my dislike of AJ, for me, it's pretty much entirely rooted in her booking, since obviously, I've never met her. That, and she's pretty much got "Where's Poochie?" syndrome going on, on top of that (though this tends to happen to anyone in one of WWE's major storylines. Doesn't make it any less irritating.). I don't think it's necessarily misogynist to portray a female wrestler as being crazy (Luna Vachon, for example), but with AJ, it's more like they're just throwing every idea they possibly can at the wall to see what sticks, and it doesn't seem like anything is actually really developing naturally except the tension with Kaitlyn. But Kaitlyn is pretty much an afterthought in all of this (since she's busy with Eve). I honestly think the thing that bothers me most, though, is that she tends to syphon away the heat of whichever wrestler she associates with (hijacking the "YES" chant, and now casting a shadow over Dolph). As far as Cena, I'm not really sure what they should have booked him to do, quite honestly.

So, better question, if Dolph is supposed to be too smart to fall for AJ's BS (by "being right" about everything he said about her, to her face), why is he hooking up with her anyway? Especially since she's the one being portrayed as the mastermind (despite Dolph "being right"). You forget that AJ has Big E. Langston at her disposal so getting rid of Dolph (and maybe even get his briefcase) is a finger snap away. If the Dolph/AJ relationship affects anyone, it's Dolph since he left a safe way to the top by being with Vickie for a younger, more attractive and more volatile woman. Vickie stopped being 'safe' the moment she became Vince's puppet GM. She couldn't protect him from Cena, and had to put up his belt because of her unwilligness to fight back against the boss. A.J. wouldn't take take that from a guy, obviously since she decks Ziggler in the men's locker room since she was that loyal to Cena (unlike Vickie to Ziggler). In a way Ziggler's rant against her in the locker room could be a sign that he's the mastermind as JBL suggests on Smackdown.
