Yeah, I have a question about this feature. So long story short, I want to buy Farcry 3 used. Now that we're in this post-Christmas phase, I can probably get it for a lower price than even the reduced price of used games.
With that said though, would it be better for me to just purchase it new because the Uplay would essentially make buying the game used pointless? Do I really need to have Uplay or can I just buy it and not have to worry about it?

Isn't that the whole point in publishers adding stuff like this. "To make buying used games pointless."

Just means ya can't play online. Far Cry specific, all you're missing out on is a free theme, some in game levels & a special revolver, which you have to buy with in game money. Nowt worth worrying about.

Nowt worth worrying about. Ah, ok then. Yeah, I don't like to play online too often anyways, so the fact that too much isn't at stake is a relief. Although are those in game levels essentially DLC and not integral to the plot or general game play, right?
