I guess Cena's winning the Rumble then.

So if allthe rumours are true, then soon we might have WWE with The Rock as the champion, and TNA with Hulk Hogan as the champion. ROH had better ring up Sammartino, or they're going to get left behind in this race to the past. I knew Chikara should have put the Campeonatos de Parejas on 1-2-3 Kid and Marty Jannetty.

If this is true and Rock does win the title, I wonder what they'll do for Elimination Chamber as I really doubt that Rock will work a chamber match. I guess maybe for this year they'll just have the World Title defended in one with the other being a #1 contender match for the WWE title with Cena winning.

Why not have a triple threat at Mania? It's happened in the past. People love the Rock, but I just don't want to see a guy who has worked hard, gotten the crowd to react to him, made the title mean something again; to just be left behind in this Cena and Rock stuff that never intrigued me in the first place. I read somewhere a great read where Punk losing the title to Rock made much sense, but I don't want Cena in this picture without Punk. And if Rock wins he will most likely to be booked to retain inside the Elimination Chamber, yes?

I think Rock COULD work a chamber match, if they just keep him in the last pod and once his pod opens, he pretty much finishes the match with his spots, although that runs the risk of making the other participants look weak.

I guess Cena's winning the Rumble then. At this point, Cena winning the rumble would be much better than the rumble winner challenging for the second rate World Heavyweight Championship. Anyone else who wins and chooses NOT to fight for the biggest prize in the company against the Rock, John Cena, or even end CM Punk's long reign should he still be champion, just looks stupid.

But if Cena DOES win the Rumble, then everyone will be happy because the Rumble winner will actually compete in the Mania main event.

It's just there is no build up to the Punk/Rock match. He'd have to lose by some way of interference. Whether that means Ryback finally gets revenge or The Shield prove they aren't associated with him and "right a wrong."

I have no idea if they WILL do this, but if WWE booked Rock to end Punk's title reign, then booked Cena to beat Rock for the belt at WM, it'd rightly go down as one of the absolute worst booking ideas in modern wrestling history, for a variety of reasons.

So basically, Rock beats Punk, then Cena beats Rock at Mania while fans boo him while he makes his trollface because it's in New York and they hate him tons. That's gonna be a...lovely mental image to close out Wrestlemania, WWE.
Truly.

How is that bad booking, though? It wouldn't be my first choice (I'd rather us get a Triple Threat between them at Mania) but it seems to be pretty classic, logical booking. Rock beat Cena last year, Rock wins the belt, Cena gets his win back over the Rock.

It seems to be a lose-lose situation either way. You either have Punk's one year long reign end at the hands of a 40 year old part-timer, or you have it ended by a guy who's already been 'the guy' for the past eight years.
No doubt Wrestlemania will do amazing business, which is probably the only thing the WWE cares about, but it sucks that yet again they're going to miss a golden opportunity to build a new main-eventer. If you had someone like Ryback or Ziggler end his reign that could set them up for the rest of their career.

Will Rock dropping the belt to Cena hurt the Tensai gimmick? www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrpJmSR9FesAlso, I wouldn't mind seeing Rock beat Punk for the championship. I just hope that if that does indeed happen, that it turns into a triple threat at Mania, Punk/Rock/Cena. In a perfect world, Punk would win, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

The solution of a Triple Threat is almost so obvious that it hurts. Punk comes into Mania as WWE Champion defending against The Rock and Cena. Cena pins The Rock clean in the middle of the ring, to get his win back and win the WWE Title. Punk loses his beloved title without even having been pinned or made to submit. Lots of ways to go from there.

Punk loses the belt just to win it back 2 months later? That's perfect?
